Original job description

We are North, a strategic communications agency in Canada that makes it personal, moving brands with ideas that travel and influence.

We combine the agility of a boutique agency with the strength of Publicis Groupe’s global network. Our teams work across earned media, influencer, content, experiential, and issues management, bringing sharp thinking and care to every brief.

In a noisy world, we earn attention through bold ideas, rigorous execution, and a relationship‑first approach that helps our people and our clients grow.

Overview

You will be working as part of a collaborative account team that develops and delivers strategic, creative client programs. Your job is to tell the client’s story, with a focus on driving important and exciting content across all brand social platforms to influence, inspire, educate, and engage your audience on a variety of topics. Beauty and skin care experience is a bonus!

An essential ingredient of your success is the ability to partner and collaborate with several internal and external stakeholders. We’re looking for a passionate team player with a strategic and creative mindset who can create cross-channel media strategies for our clients.

Responsibilities

Shape bold campaigns that spark conversations and elevate brands across PR, events, media relations, social, and influencer marketing.
Build powerful connections with media and influencers to land stories that make headlines.
Create content that captivates - from press releases to social posts - bringing ideas to life with exceptional writing.
Own the process: lead strategy, execution, and reporting to deliver measurable impact.
Drive influencer programs end-to-end, from sourcing talent to crafting standout collaborations.
Foster engaged communities by managing day-to-day conversations, monitoring audience sentiment, and identifying opportunities to strengthen brand connection.
Think big, act fast - bring fresh ideas, mentor teammates, and help win new business.

Qualifications

You don’t need to check every box to apply - we value passion and potential! Here’s what will help you thrive in this role:

2–3 years of PR experience, ideally with consumer, lifestyle or retail brands.
Proven skills in media relations, social media, event management, community management, and influencer relations
A creative storyteller with strong research and writing abilities.
Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Hands-on experience with Instagram, TikTok, and emerging social platforms.
Detail-oriented multitasker who double-checks for accuracy.
Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office and project tools like Teams, Monday or Asana.
Passion for trends, consumer insights, and innovative ideas.
Demonstrated interest in AI. You already see how it can benefit and amplify our client's campaigns

Work with top talent at an award-winning agency on a serious growth trajectory.
A focused commitment to career development and personal success – let us help you.
Access to thousands of on-demand e-learning opportunities, and a suite of leading AI tools and resources.
Highly competitive compensation and benefits package including substantial time off policies and mental wellness resources (like really. It’s a big deal).

Hybrid work environment, parental leave top-up program, regular social events, cell phone & internet allowance, professional development or wellness allowance, Business Resource Groups, Private health and Dental insurance, Life and Disability insurance… Just to name a few… #workperks.
Work from (almost) anywhere for up to 20 days per year.
All staff meetings so you’re always in the know.
This is a hybrid role tied to our Toronto office.

Salary

Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is CAD$55K-$58K per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data

AI Use

We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of our hiring process, such as reviewing applications or analyzing resumes. These tools assist our recruitment team but never replace human decision-making. We believe in a human-first approach, where your experience and potential are recognized by people.

To apply for this position, click 'Apply' and easily submit your resume. Note that only those being considered for an interview will be contacted. Thank you very much for your interest in working at North. We look forward to meeting you!
