About the Role:

The Assistant Security Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the Security Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets within the organization. This position involves overseeing daily security operations, coordinating security staff, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies. The Assistant Security Supervisor is responsible for enforcing company policies, conducting regular security inspections, and maintaining detailed reports to support continuous improvement. This role requires collaboration with various departments and external agencies to uphold a secure environment. Ultimately, the Assistant Security Supervisor contributes to creating a safe workplace that minimizes risks and enhances overall organizational resilience.

Time Slot Availability: Monday through Friday 3pm -11pm Located in Etobicoke, Ontario

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid security guard license or certification as required by Canadian provincial regulations.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a security role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
First aid and CPR certification.
Experience with security technology such as CCTV systems, access control, and alarm monitoring.
Familiarity with Canadian workplace health and safety standards.
Proven skills in conflict resolution and incident investigation.

Responsibilities:

Assist in supervising and coordinating the activities of security personnel to ensure effective coverage and response.
Conduct routine patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate potential security risks or breaches.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing support and escalation as necessary.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of security activities, incidents, and investigations.
Support the implementation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and protocols.
Train and mentor security staff to uphold high standards of professionalism and operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required to manage incidents.
Participate in security audits and recommend improvements to enhance safety measures.
