Northern Health is seeking a psychiatrist to join the mental health team in Terrace, BC who will work in Ksyen Regional Hospital and the Northern Health Mental Health Program. No overhead!
Working in a community mental health team and in close consultation with family physicians, the psychiatrist will be responsible for
- patient assessments and treatment planning
- ongoing patient centered consultation
- education to physicians and interdisciplinary mental health teams to advance effective treatment
- participating in provision of area-based continuum of psychiatric services including assessment of patients in the regional hospital observation unit.
The new recruit will join 3 other Psychiatrists in Terrace who work as part of an Intensive Care Management Team with nursing and allied health professionals.
