AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Fort Erie Toyota | Fort Erie, Ontario

Location: 925 Garrison Road, Fort Erie, ON

Compensation: $32–$38/hour, based on experience and training

Schedule: Monday to Saturday availability

BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH FORT ERIE TOYOTA

At Fort Erie Toyota, we're building more than a service department. We're building a team of technicians who want to learn, grow and become the best in the business.

Toyota is one of the most respected automotive brands in the world, and joining our team gives you the opportunity to work with Toyota technology, factory training and some of the best equipment in the industry.

Our shop is equipped to give our technicians the tools they need to succeed. You won't be left trying to diagnose today's vehicles with yesterday's equipment.

And we're serious about training.

OUR GOAL?

We want every technician on our team to have the opportunity to achieve Toyota Master Technician status.

We continuously invest in training and development because when our technicians get better, our entire team gets better.

If you're a licensed technician who takes pride in your work and wants a dealership that will invest in your future, we'd like to meet you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As an Automotive Technician at Fort Erie Toyota, you will:

Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs accurately and efficiently.
Diagnose and repair modern electronic and computer-controlled vehicle systems.
Perform inspections and identify additional safety and maintenance requirements.
Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services and brake inspections.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
Complete road tests using safe driving practices.
Maintain accurate digital records of diagnostics, repairs and services performed.
Communicate clearly with Service Advisors and Parts staff regarding vehicle requirements.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
Stay current with new automotive technology through ongoing training and education.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required.

WHY TOYOTA?

Toyota gives technicians an incredible opportunity to continue developing their skills.

You'll have access to ongoing Toyota training, new vehicle technology and a career path that can take you all the way to Master Technician status.

We're not looking for technicians who want to do the same thing for the next 10 years.

We're looking for technicians who want to keep getting better.

Whether your strengths are diagnostics, electrical, drivability, mechanical repair, hybrid technology or general service, we'll help you continue building your skills.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF YOU:

Hold a valid 310S Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification.
Have strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Take pride in doing quality work.
Have Toyota experience and/or EV experience. (An asset, but not required.)
Have a strong interest in learning new automotive technologies.
Hold a valid Ontario G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Can safely lift up to 85 lbs.
Have a positive attitude and work well as part of a team.
Have strong communication skills.
Want to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.

WHAT YOU'LL GET WITH NORTHERN ROADS:

A SHOP YOU'LL BE PROUD TO WORK IN

We have invested in creating a modern, well-equipped shop with the tools and equipment technicians need to properly diagnose and repair today's vehicles.

CONTINUOUS TRAINING

Training isn't something you do once and forget about.

We continuously train our technicians and want to help every member of our team work toward the highest level of Toyota certification.

A REAL CAREER PATH

We want to see our technicians grow.

Our goal is to help you develop your skills, take on new challenges and work toward Toyota Master Technician status.

A TEAM THAT CARES

We're a family-owned automotive group with deep roots in Niagara. We believe people do their best work when they're respected, supported and given the opportunity to succeed.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

We want you to enjoy coming to work. We regularly provide employee engagement activities and opportunities to connect with the team.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

Your health and well-being matter to us. We offer employee health and wellness initiatives designed to support our team.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT

We believe your career should keep moving forward. Training, development and career-path planning are part of our commitment to our employees.

And yes, there are plenty of other perks and incentives. You'll have to join us to find out about those.
