Northfast Limited | Sudbury, Ontario | Full-Time, Permanent

Northfast Limited is looking for a motivated, organized, and dependable individual to join our team as a Business Operations & Administrative Coordinator.

As a locally owned and operated business serving Northern Ontario's industrial, mining, and construction industries, we take pride in our customer service, strong relationships, and ability to adapt to our customers' needs.

We are looking for someone who enjoys a busy work environment, can manage multiple responsibilities, and takes pride in keeping things organized and running smoothly.

About the Position

This is a diverse, hands-on position that supports several areas of our business, including administration, daily operations, sales support, purchasing, and accounting.

Working closely with our General Manager, ownership, and department managers, the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting our team, improving daily efficiencies, and ensuring administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Front Counter & Customer Service

Assist customers with inquiries, order processing, and general service requests.
Answer incoming telephone calls, direct inquiries, and take messages.
Provide front counter coverage when required.
Work alongside our sales team to ensure customers receive prompt, professional service.

Administration & Management Support

Provide administrative assistance to ownership and management.
Prepare correspondence, documents, reports, and maintain organized records.
Assist with scheduling, internal projects, and follow-up on assigned tasks.
Help coordinate administrative priorities across departments.

Business Operations & Sales Support

Assist the General Manager with daily operational activities and coordination.
Support the sales team with order entry, approved quotations, purchasing documentation, and customer follow-ups.
Communicate with suppliers regarding orders and outstanding requirements.
Assist with inventory administration and maintaining accurate information in our business management system.
Help identify opportunities to improve internal processes and overall efficiency.

Accounting & Financial Administration

Provide administrative assistance to our Finance Manager.
Assist with invoice processing, accounts payable and receivable documentation, and recordkeeping.
Support the preparation and organization of financial information and reports.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in administration, office coordination, or business operations.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new software systems.
A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.

Experience in an industrial supply, distribution, purchasing, or accounting environment would be considered an asset, but is not required.

We are happy to provide training on our products, systems, and internal procedures.

What Northfast Offers

Full-time, permanent employment
Competitive compensation based on experience
Monday to Friday daytime schedule
Company-paid Health Spending Account following probation
A supportive, locally owned business environment
The opportunity to contribute to multiple areas of the business and grow with our team

Interested in Joining Our Team?

If you are someone who enjoys variety in your work, takes pride in being organized, and wants to be part of a team where your contributions make a difference, we would love to hear from you!
