Moxies Barlow & Sandman Signature Calgary Airport

Are you energized by fast-paced events, great teamwork, and creating memorable guest experiences?

Our Events Department at Moxies Barlow and Sandman Signature Calgary Airport is looking for enthusiastic Event Servers to join our team as we prepare for the busy Christmas season and a growing calendar of high-volume corporate meetings, conferences, celebrations, and special events.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hospitality, thrives in a high-energy environment, and wants to gain experience in banquet service and event operations with one of Canada’s fastest-growing hospitality groups.

What You’ll Do

Provide attentive, professional service during corporate events, holiday parties, meetings, banquets, and private celebrations
Assist with event setup, room resets, service execution, and teardown
Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, and beverage service with confidence and efficiency
Review event details and communicate closely with the Event Captain, culinary team, and Events Department
Maintain accurate product and menu knowledge, including dietary restrictions and allergies
Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests
Follow service standards, liquor regulations, and all health and safety procedures
Help keep event spaces polished, organized, and guest-ready
Support teammates during high-volume service and contribute wherever needed

What We’re Looking For

An outgoing, positive, and engaging personality
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences
A strong sense of urgency and the ability to maintain momentum during busy events
A calm, organized approach - even in high-pressure situations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and professional presentation
A dependable, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work independently
A proactive approach to guest service and a willingness to go the extra mile
Flexible availability, particularly for evenings, weekends, corporate functions, and holiday events
The physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely bend, carry, and lift throughout a shift
Previous restaurant, banquet, catering, or event-service experience is an asset
Familiarity with basic audio-visual equipment is an asset
Valid Alberta ProServe certification, or willingness to obtain it

What’s in It for You

Competitive hourly wage
A share of event gratuities
40% off meals while working
25% employee discount at participating Northland restaurants, including Moxies, Chop Steakhouse & Bar, Shark Club, Denny’s, and Rockford
Employee and Friends & Family discounts across participating Northland Properties brands, including Sandman Hotel Group, Sutton Place Hotels, Grouse Mountain, and Revelstoke Mountain Resort
Hands-on experience with high-volume corporate and social events
Opportunities to learn more about banquet operations, hospitality, and event planning
A supportive, collaborative team environment with opportunities for growth

At Northland Properties, we believe that taking care of our team members creates a positive environment for both our employees and our guests. We are committed to supporting the well-being and professional growth of our people through industry-leading hospitality, travel perks, and development opportunities.

If you bring energy, professionalism, and a passion for exceptional service, we would love to hear from you.
