Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Worker role based in Calgary, AB. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance in a new building. Daily tasks may include inspecting, responding to maintenance requests, completing repairs, and assisting with preventive maintenance schedules. The role involves working with hand and power tools, handling minor carpentry and plumbing tasks, and supporting maintenance projects. The Maintenance Worker collaborates with the leasing and housekeeping teams, reporting to the property manager, follows safety standards and company policies, and maintains accurate records of work performed.
Qualifications
Building
- Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills to inspect, service, and troubleshoot building systems, appliances etc.
- Skills to complete repairs, finishing tasks, basic repairs, replacements, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and ability to follow health and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, standing, and working in varied conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with colleagues and other departments.
- Previous experience in building maintenance is an asset; relevant trade certification or technical training is considered an advantage.
