We are a growing small manufacturing company that processes flat glass for commercial buildings. We are successful and have a modern plant with good equipment. Our staff are well trained and hard working. Our highly specific products are shipped worldwide.
Role Description
We are looking for a Plant Manager to be the team leader of our production department. We need a people person who can effectively manage the different teams and build a strong workplace culture. Our team is enthusiastic and would benefit from a leader who can organize the daily workflow, assign work, train and teach staff, and provide opportunity for personal growth.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Plant Management and Plant Operations, with experience leading manufacturing facilities.
- Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management to oversee productivity, safety, quality, and cost control.
- Candidates should possess skills in Production Planning to manage schedules, capacity, and resource allocation.
- Candidates should possess skills in Manufacturing Operations, including process optimization and equipment utilization.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in an industrial or glass manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance in manufacturing settings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with proficiency in using production data and KPIs.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or similar methodologies is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements
