Original job description

Join Nous as an Executive & Project Assistant and play a central role in helping consulting teams deliver meaningful work that improves businesses, governments and communities.

About Nous

Nous Group is an international management consultancy with over 650 people working with clients across North America, Australasia and the United Kingdom. We are a values-based organization that is inspired and determined to improve people’s lives in significant ways. Working in unique, cross-disciplinary teams, we deliver innovative and enduring solutions that transform businesses, governments and communities. We are a full-service management consulting firm that works across all sectors but have experienced strong demand for our services in education, health and government.

Nous is proud to be recognized as a Great Place to Work in Canada, Australia and the UK, reflecting our expanding global influence and success.

We are looking for an Executive & Project Assistant (E&PA) to join our dynamic team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of three (3) days per week spent in our Toronto office.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a diverse range of stakeholders, supporting busy consulting teams and being at the heart of a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The role:

As an E&PA, you will work closely with Nous Principals and Directors to provide proactive executive assistant and office support, helping them to stay organized and focused while supporting the growth of the business. This includes:

Managing complex calendars, inboxes, travel arrangements and expenses with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Liaising with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
Contributing to client development activities, including conducting research, preparing client materials, coordinating meetings and maintaining client records
Coordinating proposal submissions by collating content, proofreading and coordinating submissions
Supporting the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the Toronto office, including purchasing and invoice management, facilities coordination, catering and event logistics and onboarding and offboarding activities
Working collaboratively with other E&PAs both locally and across Nous offices to share knowledge, workload and support one another.

You will also play an important role in supporting consulting engagements by providing administrative and coordination support on projects. This includes:

Keeping project teams organized and on track to agreed project timelines
Managing project logistics including coordinating meetings, travel arrangements and managing project expenses and invoicing
Preparing for meetings, events or workshops (in office and off-site) including materials, room/venue set-ups, technology checks and supporting in-office project activities as required
Preparing, formatting and proofreading project documents
Pitching in flexibly to support project teams in a fast-paced consulting environment.

About you:

Your brilliant planning and organizational skills, sound judgement and collaborative mindset will help you thrive in this role. In addition, you bring:

Experience working in a team-based environment where you have managed competing priorities and deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a self-managed environment and apply sound judgement when prioritizing and responding to changing needs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Word and PowerPoint)
Strong interest and curiosity in using AI-enabled tools to work more effectively and build new skills. Existing knowledge of Copilot or similar AI tools a plus
Previous EA or project coordination experience (desirable but not essential)
Experience in professional services or similar environment (highly regarded).

The expected base salary for this role is between $75K – $95K CAD annually. Final salary may vary based on location, experience and qualifications.

Finally, the important details...

Nous is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and encourage individuals from equity-deserving groups to apply and share this in your application. Nous values a diversity of perspectives, ideas and lived experiences as an asset in serving communities across Canada and globally.

To apply for a role at Nous in our Toronto office, you must have the right to work in Canada on a full-time basis.

Please note if you are successful in the recruitment process, you will be required to undertake background screening prior to the commencement of your employment.
