The role also involves adhering to safety protocols, participating in tailgate meetings, and accurately documenting work performed and materials used.
Qualifications

Demonstrated technical skills in powerline construction, maintenance, and repair, including working on overhead and underground distribution systems.
Strong safety mindset with experience following utility safety standards, PPE requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices in all weather conditions.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, line diagrams, and work orders, and to use measurement tools and basic test equipment effectively.
Proficiency in operating line trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related powerline tools, with solid equipment care and troubleshooting skills.
Effective teamwork and communication skills, including clear communication with crew members, supervisors, and clients, and the ability to follow instructions and provide feedback.
Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to work at heights, climb poles, lift and carry materials, and perform manual tasks safely.
Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship as a Powerline Technician (or equivalent), and a valid driver’s license; Class 3 or higher with air brakes is an asset.
Previous experience in utility, construction, or industrial environments is preferred; familiarity with local codes and industry standards is beneficial.
