  • Monitor capital spending and financial performance, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Deliver meaningful variance analysis, financial reporting, and presentations that help stakeholders understand business results.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and account analysis.
  • Provide financial and accounting support for capital projects and ensure the integrity of financial information within reporting systems.
  • Contribute to regulatory and capital planning submissions by preparing analysis, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Help maintain strong internal controls and compliance practices, including support for SOX-related requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall financial effectiveness.
  • Collaborate across Finance and business teams while balancing competing priorities and delivering high-quality results.

These skills will make you successful:

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, CFA, or active pursuit of a CPA designation is preferred.
  • Approximately 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or a related finance role.
  • Strong financial modelling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with financial and accounting systems; familiarity with Oracle Financials is an asset.
  • Exposure to reporting and analytical tools such as Tableau, PowerPlan, PeopleSoft, or Maximo is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
