Are you passionate about transforming data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions? As a Data Analyst on the Data Insights & Analytics team within Customer & Grid Intelligence, you'll play a key role in helping the organization leverage data to improve operational performance, enhance customer outcomes, and support strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will work with a wide range of data sources, including smart meter, asset, customer, among others, turning complex information into actionable intelligence. You'll collaborate with business and technical teams to develop dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions that support operational efficiency, data quality, and continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a curious and analytical professional who enjoys solving problems, working with large datasets, and translating business needs into impactful data-driven solutions. You'll have the chance to influence decision-making across the organization while expanding your technical, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key elements of this role include:

Develop dashboards and visualizations that provide meaningful insights and support business decision-making.
Create, maintain, and enhance reports using large and complex datasets to address operational and strategic needs.
Analyze data sources, workflows, and business processes to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of critical business and smart meter data.
Develop and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and data catalogs that improve data accessibility and governance.
Perform data validation, testing, and quality assurance activities to support reliable reporting and analytics.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries across multiple data sources to support analysis and reporting requirements.
Partner with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into effective data solutions.
Create ad hoc reports to address emerging business needs.
Support data transformation activities and the development of data-driven solutions.
Contribute to requirements gathering, data modelling, and workflow development aligned with business processes.
Communicate analytical findings and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting capabilities, business processes, and operational performance.

These skills will make you successful:

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, data modelling, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
Advanced experience working with SQL and relational databases.
Experience developing dashboards and reports using Tableau and working with large, complex datasets.
Knowledge of data modelling, data transformation, data quality management, and data validation methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and translate data into actionable insights.
Experience gathering and interpreting business requirements to develop practical, data-driven solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with Python, statistical analysis, machine learning concepts, or similar analytical tools is considered an asset.
Experience working with smart meter technologies, customer information systems, work management systems, ServiceNow, ITIL, or ITSM processes is considered an asset.
