Original job description

About Us

NQX is Canada’s trusted customer contact centre partner for some of the country’s most iconic brands. We deliver exceptional customer experiences through a combination of human expertise, technology, and operational excellence.

We help organizations rethink customer experience in an AI-powered world by designing, transforming, and operating next-generation contact centres.

The Opportunity

We’re not looking for someone to simply run the recruitment playbook. We’re looking for someone who wants to rewrite it. Someone curious enough to challenge how things are done, hands-on enough to make change happen, and driven enough to turn new ideas into measurable results.

We are looking for a Manager, Talent Attraction & Recruitment Innovation – Contact Centre to rethink and modernize how we attract, identify, and recruit contact centre talent.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop the strategy and personally execute it, from understanding the talent market and creating targeted attraction campaigns to sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.

Combining strategy, creativity, technology, AI, and data, this role will support NQX’s growth while helping build a modern, high-performing, and fully self-sufficient Talent Acquisition function within our Human Resources team.

More than a traditional recruitment role, this is an opportunity for someone who enjoys doing the work, experimenting with new approaches, engaging directly with candidates, and using technology and data to make better recruitment decisions. The Manager will personally contribute throughout the recruitment lifecycle while developing highly targeted approaches tailored to NQX’s evolving hiring needs.

The mandate is built around four pillars: developing highly targeted recruitment strategies, attracting and engaging the right talent, recruiting and selecting candidates, and leveraging AI and emerging technologies to improve recruitment and selection.

1. Develop Highly Targeted Recruitment Strategies

Translate NQX’s hiring needs into targeted recruitment strategies by market, region, role type, and candidate segment.
Analyze talent pools, candidate behaviours, labour-market trends, competitive hiring activity, and the performance of different recruitment sources.
Define precise candidate profiles and identify the channels, messages, and approaches most likely to reach them.
Develop tailored strategies for specialized, targeted, and time-sensitive recruitment needs.
Continuously refine recruitment strategies based on candidate quality, conversion rates, hiring outcomes, and evolving business requirements.

2. Attract and Engage the Right Talent

Design and execute targeted campaigns that generate qualified candidates for specific hiring needs.
Develop compelling concepts, messaging, content, and candidate experiences tailored to different talent segments.
Manage job boards, recruitment platforms, social media, digital advertising, paid campaigns, referral programs, and other relevant attraction channels.
Proactively source and engage potential candidates through the channels and communities most relevant to each hiring requirement.
Measure channel and campaign performance and continuously optimize how NQX invests to attract and convert talent.

3. Recruit and Select Candidates

Personally source, screen, assess, and interview candidates, particularly for priority, specialized, or targeted recruitment needs.
Evaluate candidates against clearly defined role requirements, competencies, behavioural criteria, and success profiles.
Use AI and recruitment technologies to support sourcing, screening, matching, and candidate assessment, with appropriate human judgment and oversight throughout the selection process.
Partner directly with hiring leaders to understand their requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and continuously improve the quality of candidates presented.
Deliver an efficient, engaging, and respectful candidate experience from initial contact through selection and handoff.

4. Leverage AI and Technology to Recruit Better

Use AI and emerging technologies to identify and reach candidates who best match specific hiring needs.
Apply AI-enabled tools to support candidate sourcing, screening, matching, and assessment, with appropriate human judgment and oversight throughout the selection process.
Explore new technologies that can improve the quality, speed, and precision of recruitment and candidate selection.
Experiment with new digital tools and approaches, measure their effectiveness, and adopt those that improve candidate quality and hiring outcomes.
Use technology and data to continuously refine candidate profiles, sourcing strategies, assessment methods, and selection decisions.

Required Qualifications

Education in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Hands-on experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from talent-market analysis and candidate attraction through sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
Experience in recruitment, ideally within a customer contact centre or comparable operational environment.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing targeted recruitment or talent-attraction campaigns.
Experience using AI-enabled tools, automation, or emerging technologies to support recruitment activities.
Experience with social media, digital advertising, recruitment platforms, sourcing tools, and data analytics.
Strong interviewing and candidate-assessment skills.
Strong interest in emerging technologies and recruitment innovation.

Skills and Competencies

Hands-on, action-oriented working style.
Ability to move confidently between strategy and execution.
Strong candidate sourcing, assessment, and interviewing capabilities.
Creativity and talent-attraction expertise.
Innovative mindset and technological curiosity.
Sound judgment in the responsible use of AI in recruitment and candidate selection.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Results orientation and commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to translate data and market insights into targeted recruitment actions.

What We Offer

Competitive salary.
Comprehensive benefits program.
Retirement plan.
Professional development and career advancement opportunities.
Collaborative and engaging work environment.
Flexible work arrangement, with four days in the office and Fridays working remotely (Laval center).

At NQX, empathy, authenticity, and innovation guide us every day. We believe that providing an engaging work environment for our teams is essential to effectively support businesses and creating authentic, memorable interactions with their customers. People are at the heart of everything we do - we nurture talent and support our teams at every stage of their journey. NQX has been recognized as one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, according to the Waterstone award recognition. And our team agrees: 84% of employees would recommend NQX as an employer to their family and friends.
