Business Development ManagerAbout the Role

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive commercial growth across industrial automation, robotics, AI, computer vision, and manufacturing markets.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced technology environment and can engage with customers, partners, government organizations, and industry stakeholders from initial outreach through commercial agreement and long-term account development.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales

Identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries including manufacturing, robotics, automation, machine vision, and industrial AI.
Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers, partners, distributors, and system integrators.
Conduct outbound prospecting through email, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and partnership networks.
Arrange and lead introductory meetings, product presentations, demonstrations, and commercial discussions.
Understand customer operational challenges and translate them into potential technical and commercial solutions.
Support the development of proposals, quotations, PoCs, pilot projects, and commercial agreements.
Manage opportunities through the full business development cycle from initial contact to contract execution.
Maintain regular follow-up with prospects and customers to accelerate commercial opportunities.

Strategic Partnerships

Identify potential strategic partners including robotics manufacturers, automation companies, system integrators, technology providers, distributors, research institutions, and government organizations.
Develop partnership structures that support joint sales, technology integration, distribution, and market expansion.
Coordinate internally with engineering, product, and management teams to evaluate partnership opportunities.
Maintain and expand relationships with existing strategic partners.

Account Development

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including executives, engineering leaders, operations teams, manufacturing teams, and procurement organizations.
Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships into additional projects, locations, or applications.
Support customer onboarding and ensure effective coordination between commercial and technical teams.
Track customer requirements, project status, follow-up actions, and commercial milestones.

Market Development

Research target industries, accounts, competitors, and emerging market opportunities.
Identify new applications for AI-powered visual inspection, robotics, automation, and Spatial Vision technologies.
Monitor relevant industry trends, customer requirements, and competitive developments.
Support regional and international market expansion initiatives.
Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, industry meetings, and partnership events.

Government & Institutional Programs

Identify relevant government programs, grants, pilot programs, partnership initiatives, and procurement opportunities.
Support preparation of business proposals, partnership documents, government applications, and bidding materials.
Build relationships with government agencies, research organizations, universities, and industry associations where appropriate.

Reporting & Business Operations

Maintain accurate CRM records for leads, opportunities, meetings, proposals, and customer activities.
Prepare regular pipeline, sales activity, partnership, and market-development reports.
Track KPIs including qualified meetings, opportunities, PoCs, proposals, contracts, and revenue.
Work closely with leadership to establish account strategies, regional priorities, and commercial targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, International Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account management, or a related commercial role.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Experience managing multiple prospects and opportunities simultaneously.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
Professional proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in one or more of the following industries:
Industrial automation
Robotics
Artificial Intelligence
Computer vision / machine vision
Semiconductor technology
Manufacturing technology
Automotive or smart factories
Experience selling technical products or solutions to enterprise customers.
Existing relationships within manufacturing, robotics, automation, or technology industries.
Experience managing PoCs, pilot deployments, or enterprise technology projects.
Experience working with international customers or partners.
Familiarity with CRM, sales automation, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outbound sales tools.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance may be evaluated based on:

Number of qualified customer and partner meetings
Qualified sales pipeline generated
PoCs and pilot projects initiated
New customer and partnership agreements
Revenue generated from new and existing accounts
Conversion from initial meeting to commercial opportunity
Account expansion and customer retention
