Original job description

ABOUT ODAIA
ODAIA noun o·da·ia | 'oh-day-yeah
An Ancient Greek word referring to "ōdē," the word for song and the root of melody, harmony, and orchestra. We chose it deliberately: the best commercial intelligence doesn't just inform it orchestrates.

ODAIA delivers AI-powered commercial intelligence for life sciences - unifying data, accelerating results, and helping commercial teams deepen engagement to enhance care for providers and patients. ODAIA's AI platform transforms complex data into predictive, personalized insights, enabling commercial leaders to understand their customers, anticipate prescribing behaviors, and make the informed, strategic decisions that bring therapies to patients faster.

OUR MISSION

Reducing patients' time to therapy by facilitating meaningful interactions with healthcare providers, through human-centric software powered by AI.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our engineering team! You'll work across the full stack to design, build, and ship features that directly impact how pharma commercial teams engage with healthcare providers. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and ML engineering to solve complex problems and help bring our AI-powered platform to life.

We expect this person to be an active voice in how we plan and build contributing to epics, shaping scope, and bringing engineering perspective into roadmap conversations from the start.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Own significant product capabilities end-to-end from ambiguous problem framing through design, implementation, deployment, and iteration with minimal oversight
Build accessible, data-rich user experiences with React and TypeScript that make complex commercial and healthcare insights clear and actionable
Build and maintain real-time computation services (AWS Lambda) that serve scores and calculations on-demand to the customer-facing app, with an eye toward latency, reliability, and cost at scale
Design and maintain reliable, scalable APIs and backend services connecting ODAIA's data, ML, analytics, and agentic capabilities to customer-facing products
Work across our stack AWS, Kubernetes, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and embedded analytical engines like DuckDB and DataFusion
Use Claude Code and other coding AI agents across the development lifecycle, and help define how the team uses these tools effectively
Lead technical design, code review, and architectural discussions, surfacing risks and trade-offs early
Mentor other engineers and help shape team practices around testing, observability, and code quality
Partner with engineering leadership on technical roadmap decisions and platform investments
Please include a cover letter with your application outlining your relevant experience and interest in this role. You can describe a project you've worked on that relates to one of the "What You Bring" or "What You Will Do" points, and share how you'd expand on it here at ODAIA.

What You Bring

6+ years of professional software development experience, with significant ownership across frontend and backend systems and at least one experience leading a project with limited supervision
Deep experience with React and TypeScript, plus a strong grasp of browser fundamentals, state management, and frontend performance
Extensive experience designing and operating APIs or backend services (Python, TypeScript, or similar) under real production load
Strong engineering fundamentals modular design, testing, and maintainable code paired with the judgment to know when simplicity is right and when more rigor is needed
Experience guiding coding AI agents effectively, reviewing generated output, and retaining full ownership of the final implementation
A track record of mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar on a team
A product-oriented mindset and clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Values-Based Culture

We Ignite Innovation, Own It, and Stand Together

AI-Native Environment

At ODAIA, we don't just deliver AI - we live it. We use AI and agentic automation to 10x our efficiency and impact, encouraging constant curiosity in leveraging and integrating AI

Comprehensive Rewards

Meaningful stock option grants, immediate medical/dental enrollment, and flexible time off

Remote-First Flexibility
WFH flexibility with intentional, high-value in-person collaboration and socials

JOB PROCESS & INTERVIEW DISCLOSURE

ODAIA does use artificial intelligence (AI) to review applications, filter and analyze resumes.

This tool helps our recruiters to be fully present during conversations with candidates who provide consent to this tool being used during an interview. This tool is used in compliance with privacy and employment laws across Canada and the U.S.

We respect the time candidates invest into participating in our recruitment process. ODAIA is committed to providing timely status updates on hiring decisions to all candidates following their final interview, in accordance with applicable employment laws.

The anticipated base salary for this position ranges from $130,000.00 - $145,000.00 CAD + Stock and Equity
This range represents ODAIA's good-faith estimate based on current market data and internal equity. Final compensation is determined through a comprehensive review of the successful candidate’s unique skill set, specialized experience, certifications and other relevant considerations. As such, the final offer may vary based on these specific factors. Salary expectations will be discussed collaboratively early in the process to ensure alignment. This role is also eligible for health benefits, stock options, and flexible time off policies as mentioned above.
