Original job description

Odgers is a global integrated leadership advisory firm, committed to providing an integrated approach to talent management. We identify, assess, and support compelling leaders who make strong candidates for leadership teams that significantly impact businesses and our communities. If you are a curious and eager learner, have a passion for engaging with a variety of successful professionals and want to learn more about private and public sector companies in Canada, you could be a great fit here.

We are seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant based in our Calgary office to join our national service delivery team supporting our executive search business. You will join a large, collaborative team across Canada with the potential to grow in your career. Our approach to search drives Consultants to develop a comprehensive understanding of our clients’ organization and the context of their business. This deep understanding allows us to provide continuous advice to clients to develop and support their talent management and acquisition programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Practice Partners and client organizations in the delivery of search mandates, leading search strategy development, industry research, candidate outreach and assessment, and regular reporting.
  • Develop and assess candidates while building strong relationships, interact with clients, and build substantive depth in various practices to help recruit high-performing leaders.
  • Provide support to Practice Partners to build client relationships and business development opportunities.

Education and Experience:

  • University or college graduate or commensurate experience, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in recruitment or broader human capital professional services role. Executive search experience is a strong asset.
  • Self-starter, with the ability to plan, develop, and manage multiple projects independently and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Natural curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset, strong business acumen, results-oriented, detail-oriented, and professional presentation.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, communicate succinctly, and read nonverbal and social cues.
  • Desire to build your career in the Executive Search, with an interest in future client development and engagement responsibilities.

Applications are encouraged immediately and should be submitted online at https://careers.odgers.com/en-ca/32052

We would like to thank all applicants but regret that we are only able to personally contact those individuals whose backgrounds best match the requirements for the role.

Odgers is an equal opportunity employer. In accordance with the Accessible Canada Act, 2019 and all applicable provincial accessibility standards, upon request, accommodation will be provided by Odgers throughout the recruitment, selection and/or assessment process to applicants with disabilities.

Odgers is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all the work that we do. As part of our efforts to better understand our ability to reach as broad a pool of candidates as possible for our searches, our DEI team would like to encourage you to take a moment and access our Self-Declaration Form.
