Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Grande Prairie, AB for Foremans and Matting Equipment Operators. The role involves overseeing matting crews, planning daily work activities, and ensuring safe and efficient installation, removal, and maintenance of matting and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include operating heavy equipment, coordinating site logistics, inspecting equipment and materials, and performing basic repairs or adjustments as needed. The position requires clear communication with team members and clients, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate reporting of work completed and site conditions. Foremans may also be responsible for training new team members, monitoring performance, and supporting continuous improvement in field operations.

Qualifications

• Strong supervisory skills, including crew leadership, task delegation, and monitoring work quality and safety.
• Heavy equipment operation experience with matting or construction equipment, and familiarity with safe operating procedures.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, site supervisors, and clients.
• Basic carpentry abilities and practical knowledge of matting assembly, installation, and structural considerations.
• Maintenance skills for performing routine inspections, minor repairs, and upkeep of equipment and tools.
• Prior experience in industrial, construction, or energy sector field work is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to various worksites as required.
• Commitment to safety standards, including adherence to company policies and applicable regulations.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift or move materials as required.
