Salary Range:

Director Instant Products & Operations

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate about product strategy, portfolio growth, and operational excellence to join our team as Director, Scratch Products & Operations. In this role, you will lead the strategy, development, marketing, and operational execution of OLG's Scratch portfolio, valued at approximately $1.5 billion in annual revenue and generating more than $300 million in game contribution. You will be accountable for driving player participation, business performance, and customer satisfaction through the development and execution of innovative product strategies, marketing plans, and operational initiatives while ensuring the successful production and launch of more than 70 Scratch games annually.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Vice President Lottery Product, you will be empowered to:

Lead the strategic direction, growth, and performance of OLG's Scratch portfolio, ensuring achievement of annual revenue and net profit to the province (NPP) objectives.
Develop and execute annual product and marketing plans that drive player participation, retailer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth.
Manage category operating, marketing, promotional, sponsorship, and partnership budgets to support divisional and corporate objectives.
Develop and execute product, portfolio, and brand strategies that align with OLG's Masterbrand and enterprise priorities.
Oversee the development and execution of portfolio strategies, including product positioning, prize structures, promotional plans, merchandising, advertising, player engagement, and new product development initiatives.
Lead the development of the Scratch Category Annual Roadmap, delivering innovative products and experiences that strengthen OLG's competitive position and customer experience.
Partner with Brand & Marketing and agency partners to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, media strategies, sponsorship plans, and customer engagement initiatives.
Lead digital execution activities in collaboration with Marketing Content Communication, ensuring campaign and brand standards are maintained.
Provide strategic leadership for Scratch Ticket Production, ensuring quality, compliance, security, and successful product launches in accordance with regulatory and audit requirements.
Collaborate with Interprovincial Lottery Corporation (ILC) partners to develop and execute national Scratch strategies, product plans, and marketing initiatives.
Leverage consumer insights, market research, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities, evaluate market potential, and support product innovation.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE GAME

Education & Experience:

University degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, product management, category management, or a related commercial environment.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience delivering business growth, operational excellence, and strategic objectives.
Minimum 5 years of experience collaborating across the enterprise to solve complex business challenges and deliver large-scale initiatives.
Demonstrated experience developing and executing product, portfolio, brand, and marketing strategies within a consumer-focused organization.
Experience managing multiple brands within a category and delivering commercial performance across a diverse product portfolio.
Demonstrated experience developing business strategy and applying marketing principles at a corporate level.
Experience within the gaming, lottery, consumer goods, retail, or entertainment industries is considered a strong asset.

Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment involving technology, product development, marketing, merchandising, public relations, retail operations, and customer experience.
Strong understanding of the gaming industry, particularly Scratch products and the broader lottery marketplace.
Knowledge of Scratch ticket production, secure printing processes, lithographic and flexographic printing techniques, and lottery gaming systems is considered a strong asset.
Understanding of game programming parameters, prize structures, validation requirements, and probability concepts related to lottery products is considered an asset.
Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities, evaluate industry trends, and drive innovation within a competitive marketplace.
