About Us:
Olli Brands Inc. is redefining what cannabis products can be. Known for its premium edibles, the company brings together meticulous manufacturing, precise dosing, and bold, flavour forward design to create products that feel intentional, elevated, and genuinely enjoyable. Built at the intersection of craft, compliance, and culture, Olli breaks away from the ordinary to deliver products that enrich the consumer experience while meeting the highest standards of quality and regulatory excellence.
About the opportunity:
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our QA team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily shop-floor quality operations, ensuring that our cannabis edibles and extracts strictly adhere to Health Canada GPP/GMP standards, safety protocols, and company quality specifications.
Crucially, this is a growth-oriented role designed for a motivated professional looking to step up to take on Alternate Quality Assurance Person (AQAP) responsibilities, including batch product release and regulatory compliance support.
What you’ll be doing:
· Floor Operations & In-Process Quality: Conduct daily line clearances, in-process inspections, scale verifications, and packaging/labeling verifications on the production floor to ensure 100% compliance with master batch records.
· Batch Records & Documentation Review: Review and verify daily production batch records, packaging records, sanitation logs, and facility monitoring data for accuracy and completeness.
· Sample Management & Testing: Coordinate sampling, testing results tracking, and retain sample management for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
· Deviations & CAPA Support: Identify, report, and assist in investigating shop-floor non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints; help track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
· Sanitation & Environmental Monitoring: Monitor and verify facility sanitation, hygiene practices, and environmental/pest control monitoring programs.
· QMS & Document Maintenance: Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality logs under the direction of the QA Manager.
· Audit Readiness & Growth into AQAP: Participate in internal audits and support external regulatory inspections (Health Canada, CRA)
What you bring:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry), Food Science, or a related technical field is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance roles.
· Proven track record of managing quality management systems and ensuring regulatory compliance.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proficient in quality management software and regulatory compliance tools.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards
· Strong time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
What we offer:
OBI believes in rewarding its people with the following comprehensive benefits package and perks:
- Compensation range of $55,000 - $65,000
- Eligibility for a performance bonus based on company and individual results
- Eligibility to participate in company benefits program
- Career pathing with tailored training and development to get you there
We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to building an inclusive, accessible workplace in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
