Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent is responsible for supervising, coaching, and supporting the development of the Maintenance team on the evening shift.
Responsibilities
More specifically, this position includes the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the completion of preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and optimization of conventional and automated industrial equipment while complying with occupational health and safety rules and procedures.
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns in collaboration with the mechanics and technicians in the Maintenance Department.
- Monitor and follow up on the preventive maintenance program to minimize production downtime.
- Ensure efficient management of the storeroom by maintaining inventory levels of parts and equipment to support timely and effective repairs and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and SQF standards and maintain all required documentation.
- Maintain effective customer service relationships with other departments.
Requirements
- College diploma (DEC), vocational diploma (DEP), or other relevant training in an appropriate field such as mechanics, electrical systems, or industrial engineering.
- Three to five years of experience as a foreman, supervisor, or team leader in a manufacturing or food-processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
