Original job description

Who We Are

Olympia Tile+Stone is a leading distributor in the ceramic tile and stone industry, with a rich history dating back to 1927. The company has expanded to establish branches in major cities across Canada and the United States, and has become an international leader in the industry.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven A&D Sales Manager to lead and grow Olympia Tile's presence within the Architecture & Design community. In this role, you will develop strong relationships with architects, interior designers, design firms, and other industry professionals while driving product specifications and new business opportunities. You will lead the A&D sales team, support project opportunities, and work closely with internal departments to strengthen Olympia's market presence and achieve sales growth objectives. This opportunity is ideal for a relationship-focused sales leader who understands the design and construction industries, thrives on developing strategic partnerships, and can turn specification opportunities into long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

You will:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, design firms, developers, and other A&D professionals to generate new business and specification opportunities.
Lead, coach, and support the A&D sales team by setting performance expectations, monitoring results, and driving sales growth.
Develop and execute sales strategies to strengthen Olympia's presence within the A&D community and secure product specifications for commercial and residential projects.
Conduct product presentations, lunch-and-learns, showroom tours, and educational sessions to promote Olympia's products and build relationships with design professionals.
Identify, track, and manage specification opportunities throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with internal sales teams to convert projects into sales.
Provide technical product knowledge, pricing support, product samples, and specification information to architects, designers, and other project stakeholders.
Collaborate with regional Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and Product Development teams to support product launches, A&D initiatives, and market opportunities.
Represent Olympia Tile at industry events, trade shows, networking functions, and professional association activities to strengthen brand awareness and develop new business relationships.

What You Bring

You bring 5-7 years of sales experience, preferably within architecture, interior design, tile, stone, flooring, or building materials.
You have 2-3 years of supervisory or sales management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a sales team.
You have proven experience building relationships with architects, interior designers, design firms, and other A&D professionals.
You understand specification sales, project pipelines, and the process of converting commercial and residential project opportunities into sales.
You possess strong technical knowledge of tile, stone, flooring, or related building materials, along with experience reviewing quotes, pricing, and project profitability.
You bring excellent communication, relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
You are comfortable travelling regularly to design firms, showrooms, project sites, and industry events, with occasional evening or weekend commitments.
You have a college diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

What We Offer

Competitive compensation package
Comprehensive benefits (health, dental, vision, and more).
Paid vacation and holidays.
Participation in the Company’s RRSP and Pension programs.
A collaborative environment with opportunities to build relationships within the architecture and design community.

How to Apply

If you are a passionate sales leader with strong industry relationships, an understanding of the architecture and design community, and a proven ability to drive business growth, we would like to hear from you. Submit your resume outlining your experience and why you would be a strong fit for the A&D Sales Manager position.
