Original job description

Who We’re Looking For

Are you a self-starter, ready to embrace challenges and learn from every experience? Do you thrive both independently and as part of a team, value ethical practices, and enjoy building relationships? If this sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

We welcome experience in business development, account management, or any role where your decision-making and relationship-building skills have shined. If you've ventured into entrepreneurship, worked in door-to-door sales, or excelled in commission-based roles, that's a plus. Competing in high-level sports like varsity, provincial, or national level is also highly valued.

Whether you're a recent graduate or have a few years of experience, your drive and enthusiasm are what matter most.

What’s in it for you? A highly competitive, unlimited profit-sharing package that rewards your hard work and initiative. Keen to learn more? Let’s dive deeper!

The Opportunity

No experience in trading lumber? No problem. We have an in-house training and mentorship program designed to set our new hires up for long-term success.

As a Trader, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a new book of business through cold calling and prospecting, identifying customer needs, and providing value. You will focus on discovering and developing new opportunities within the lumber industry by conducting market research, lead generation, and networking with industry professionals. This role requires exceptional listening and questioning skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting customer relationships.

The Challenge

Develop a dynamic business plan in a competitive market at a company that values both hard work and having fun. Take the lead in identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and significantly enhancing revenue growth. Join our team and invest your talent in a role where your efforts shape both your success and your enjoyment!

What We Offer

Training & Development: Enrolment in our internal intensified training program to build a deep understanding of the lumber trading industry.
Compensation: Highly competitive compensation model with unlimited profit-sharing tied directly to performance, supported by an initial base salary to help you get started.
Culture: A high-energy, “work hard, play hard” environment that values results, collaboration, and fun.
Health & Benefits: Comprehensive extended health benefits, life insurance, AD&D, and long-term disability coverage.
Retirement & Ownership: Employee Stock Ownership Plan and RRSP Contribution Plan to support long-term financial growth.
On-Site Gym: Free, employee-only gym with showers to support an active lifestyle.
Midweek Perks: Weekly Wednesday Breakfasts to support a healthy start to the day.
Office Amenities: Employee lounge, ping pong and pool table, microwave stations, fridges, sparkling water on tap, and a Nespresso coffee bar.
Relocation Support: For candidates located outside of the province, relocation support may be available based on eligibility criteria.
