The Opportunity & Team

Omicron is hiring a Project Delivery Manager, Building Renewals to support our Renewals & Special Projects Business Unit and strengthen our integrated design–build delivery model. As our pipeline grows, this role plays a pivotal part in delivering smarter, more coordinated project outcomes informed by collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.

You’ll join the Project Management function reporting to the Director, Construction, and work closely with architects, engineers, designers, builders, project managers, etc. The team is known for helping clients make informed capital investment decisions and transforming aging assets into high-performing, resilient buildings, and you’ll contribute to work that accelerates decision‑making, deepens alignment across disciplines, and elevates project quality from concept to completion.

What You’ll Do

Client Leadership & Business Development

Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key clients
Develop and execute strategic account growth plans
Identify, qualify, and pursue new opportunities with existing and prospective clients
Lead proposals, interviews, fee negotiations, and contract discussions
Foster long-term client relationships across public, institutional, commercial, healthcare, education, and real estate sectors
Monitor market trends, client capital plans, and emerging opportunities
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions

Strategic Asset Renewal Leadership

Advise clients on building lifecycle management strategies
Develop multi-year capital renewal and asset management programs
Identify deferred maintenance, lifecycle replacement, accessibility, energy, resilience, and modernization opportunities
Participate in facility assessments and strategic planning exercises with clients
Provide executive-level guidance on project prioritization and funding strategies

Operational Leadership

Provide leadership and oversight to architectural, engineering, and field operations teams
Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably
Balance workload and resources across business units
Support project teams in resolving technical, operational, and contractual challenges
Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to client satisfaction, project delivery, quality, and profitability

Project Delivery Oversight

Oversee projects from feasibility through construction completion
Champion interdisciplinary collaboration between design and field personnel
Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, and risk management activities
Prepare initial cost and schedule estimates
Participate in major project reviews and executive decision-making
Ensure quality management processes are consistently followed

Team Leadership

Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, architects, technologists, and operations personnel
Support recruitment and succession planning initiatives
Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Contribute to strategic planning and business unit growth initiatives

What You’ll Bring

Technical Knowledge

Building Systems: Building envelope, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, including rehabilitation, modernization, and replacement projects.
Asset Management: Building condition assessments, capital planning, lifecycle costing, deferred maintenance, and reserve fund planning.
Construction Delivery: Construction administration, contract management, project controls, commissioning, and contractor coordination.

Leadership Competencies

Client Leadership: Builds trusted client relationships, understands business objectives, and proactively identifies opportunities to deliver value.
Strategic Thinking: Aligns technical solutions with client goals, asset lifecycle strategies, and emerging market opportunities.
Business Acumen: Understands project financials, profitability, risk management, contract negotiation, and business development.
Team Leadership: Leads multidisciplinary teams, fosters collaboration, and communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

Experience

10+ years of progressive experience in building renewals, capital projects, construction, or asset management.
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex rehabilitation, modernization, and renewal projects.
Strong client management and business development experience.
Understanding of both consulting and construction delivery environments.
Experience working with public and private sector clients.

Professional Credentials (Preferred)

P.Eng., Registered Architect (AIBC), PMP, or equivalent professional designation.
LEED, Asset Management, or Facilities Management certifications are considered assets.

Total Compensation

The annual base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $150,000, with the starting salary determined based on experience and qualifications. This range reflects progression from learning the ropes to consistently delivering excellence. Fully established hires typically start near the midpoint; the higher end is reserved for individuals who bring deep expertise and experience. Offers below midpoint reflect strong potential with room to develop.

As part of total compensation, Omicron provides comprehensive benefits as outlined above, along with eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.
