As Director, Social Craft, you will work within the Capabilities Center at Omnicom Media Canada, helping drive excellence, consistency, and innovation across social activation throughout the organization.
This role is focused on strengthening social craft across our agencies by translating social strategy, platform innovation, and industry best practices into scalable processes, training, tools, and resources. You will play a key role in ensuring our social teams have the expertise, guidance, and ways of working needed to deliver high-quality, effective social media for our clients.
Working closely with agency social teams, Social Capabilities leadership, platform partners, and cross-functional teams, you will help identify opportunities to improve how we work, build and scale best practices, and ensure new capabilities are effectively adopted across the organization. You will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted partner to our social community, helping teams navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving social landscape.
What You’ll Do
- Champion social craft and activation excellence across Omnicom Media Canada agencies
- Develop and evolve social best practices, playbooks, SOPs, and activation workflows
- Drive adoption of consistent processes and quality standards across social activation
- Lead social training, enablement, and certification initiatives across teams
- Translate platform developments, industry trends, and Social Capabilities initiatives into actionable guidance, tools, and resources
- Identify knowledge, process, and capability gaps and develop scalable solutions to address them
- Partner with agency teams to understand activation challenges and turn feedback into process and practice improvements
- Maintain centralized social resources, documentation, and platform guidance
- Provide subject matter expertise and day-to-day consultation to social teams across agencies
- Support new business pitches and strategic client opportunities with social expertise, best practices, and activation recommendations
- Operationalize and scale new social initiatives, products, and ways of working across the organization
- Support the development of a connected social community across Omnicom Media Canada, creating opportunities to share knowledge, best practices, and learnings across agencies
- Stay current on the evolving social and platform landscape and help teams understand and adopt changes that impact how we plan, buy, and activate social media
- Drive continuous improvement in the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of social activation
About You
- 7+ years of experience in paid social or digital media
- Deep understanding of paid social activation across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, LinkedIn and X
- Strong knowledge of social planning, buying, optimization, measurement, and platform best practices
- Experience developing and implementing processes, playbooks, workflows, or quality standards
- Experience leading training, enablement, or capability-building initiatives
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives from development through implementation and adoption
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex information and translate it into actionable guidance
- Experience partnering with multiple teams and stakeholders across a complex organization
- A collaborative mindset and ability to build strong relationships across teams, agencies, and disciplines
- Ability to balance subject matter expertise, operational excellence, and evolving business priorities
- Passion for social media and curiosity about emerging platforms, products, technologies, and industry trends
