Job Overview:

The role of the Operations Support Associate is to provide support, training, and booking best practices to every Onvigo member. The success of this role relies operationally on assistance with sales and support delivery and service issues and coaching to help the ITAs business positively perform and grow, and by ensuring files and documentation adhere to both to the policies of Onvigo and the provincial reporting standards (TICO-Travel Industry Council of Ontario). The ideal candidate for this position works well independently and in a team environment and is able to balance the needs of ITAs, and Onvigo executive team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Answering support tickets from Onvigo members (ITAs)
Training and coaching of ITAs (systems, suppliers, products, travel styles etc.)
Provide detailed guidance to ITAs about booking travel products using various systems via video meetings, screen share, telephone, email and support tickets
Provide detailed guidance on the CRM best practices
Policy enforcement and advisement
Sales tracking and Quality Control of trips and file backups
Create training modules and documents related to ITA and Onvigo needs
Support Training department with programs facilitation and development
Attend supplier events (when required)Onvigo Inc
Attend annual conference (when applicable)
Attend in person meetings at the office (when required)
Assist in development of new support programs
Contribute new ideas, best practices and ways of working to support Onvigo’s growth
Maintain a friendly, positive and encouraging demeanor when interacting with all Onvigo team members and ITAs
Additional department requirements as noted by manager

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of travel industry experience, preferably in travel agency operations, travel advisor support, booking systems, or related roles
TICO certified
Experienced with GDS and travel product booking systems (SIREV, Supplier Portals, etc.)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable working with new technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Independent self-starter with the ability to collaborate well with others
High attention to detail, with the ability to correct errors and flag inconsistencies with ease
Thrives in a KPI driven environment
Ability to build trust and work through conflict both upwards and downward
