Who We Are

The ONxpress Civils Contractor General Partnership, a partnership between FCC Canada Limited and Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc., is a multidisciplinary Civils Joint Venture (CJV) team with global expertise in delivering innovative solutions for both railway and civil construction projects. Working under Alliance agreements with Metrolinx, the team is helping to modernize railway construction across the GO Transit network.

An Alliance framework, which is relatively new in Canada, is a collaborative partnership between the owner and contractor, who work together with a best-for-project mindset. By streamlining decision making, the Alliance helps ensure that high-quality work is delivered, certified, and transferred in a progressive, transparent, and risk-managed manner.

The Alliance operates with a core focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and rights-holders and contributing positively to local communities as a good neighbor. Through this collaborative approach, the Alliance is helping drive the modernization of key sections of the rail network as part of the GO Expansion Program.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the Requirements Management, Verification & Validation (V&V), Configuration Management, and Interface Management teams to ensure effective systems integration across the project.
Oversee the management of project requirements, ensuring they are allocated, tracked, verified, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle using established processes and tools, including IBM DOORS.
Lead the Verification & Validation (V&V) process to ensure project requirements are properly demonstrated and documented throughout design, construction, testing, and commissioning.
Manage configuration changes by coordinating impact assessments, stakeholder reviews, partner alignment, and client approvals.
Lead the development, coordination, and maintenance of Interface Coordination Documents (ICDs) to manage internal and external project interfaces.
Coordinate closely with the Safety Manager to ensure all applicable safety requirements are incorporated into project processes and deliverables.
Collaborate with design, construction, systems, and project teams to ensure alignment across disciplines and resolve integration issues.
Lead multidisciplinary integration meetings and facilitate the resolution of cross-functional technical and project issues.
Identify, assess, and mitigate integration risks while forecasting and tracking project scope changes.
Support risk transfer process during design stages
Monitor project progress, key deliverables, and design milestones, recommending schedule adjustments where required.
Develop, monitor, and report on project performance metrics, providing regular status updates to project leadership and management.
Prepare and review technical reports, purchase specifications, subcontract documentation, and business correspondence related to the integration function.
Provide technical leadership and project management support as required.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging

What you bring:

Completion of a diploma or degree in Engineering, or a combination of education, training, and equivalent experience.

Minimum 8–10 years of experience delivering signalling, major infrastructure or rail projects.

Minimum 5 years of experience on signalling, transit or transportation infrastructure projects
Minimum 5 years working in systems safety and assurance roles
Minimum 3 years of experience leading systems integration, systems assurance, requirements management, interface management, configuration management, or a related discipline on complex infrastructure projects.
Experience working within Design-Build, P3, or other major infrastructure delivery models is considered an asset.
Experience using requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS is considered a strong asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other project management and collaboration tools.
Proficiency with ACC & Aconex is considered an asset
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and influence cross-functional teams across multiple stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while coordinating the efforts of multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.

Expected compensation for this role is between $120,000.00-150,000.00 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors including skills, experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into consideration. In addition to base salary ONxpress also offers a comprehensive medical and dental program, RRSP with company matching and the potential to participate in our discretionary, performance-based bonus program.
