Original job description

Responsibilities

Analyse large, complex internal and external datasets to evaluate business strategies and deliver data-driven recommendations that inform key organisational decisions.

Design and build analytical applications - including interactive dashboards and platforms - that translate analytical findings into intuitive, actionable formats for senior stakeholders and leadership.

Extract, transform, and model data using Oracle SQL and Python, encompassing statistical and advanced machine learning, usage of LLMs, automation of recurring analyses, and exploratory data analysis.

Document data requirements, data collection processes, and cleaning methodologies to ensure analytical outputs are reproducible, auditable, and meet compliance standards.

Apply GenAI tools to manage and progress multiple analytical workstreams simultaneously, maintaining a high degree of accuracy and rigour throughout.

Scope, drive, and deliver analytics projects independently from initial concept through to final output, with minimal oversight and full ownership of delivery.

Required Qualifications & Skills

8 to 10 years of experience working in a quantitative or data-intensive field, with demonstrated ability to retrieve, manipulate, and model complex datasets.

Expert-level proficiency in Oracle SQL, Python, experience with building on LLMs for advanced analytics, including data extraction, transformation, statistical modelling, and automation.

Demonstrated ability to build data applications - such as dashboards or interactive tools - that present analytical results clearly to non-technical audiences.

Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability, with a track record of delivering innovative, data-driven solutions to complex business questions.

Experience leveraging GenAI tools to manage multiple concurrent projects while sustaining high analytical accuracy.

Proven ability to independently lead analytics projects end-to-end, from scoping and methodology through to delivery and stakeholder communication.

Master's degree in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

Experience working with HR or people analytics data, with familiarity in workforce metrics and related data structures.

Background in the financial services or credit card industry, with exposure to quantitative modelling in a regulated environment.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organisation, with the ability to build effective working relationships across business areas.
