As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to partner with the most highly regarded companies in the world, tackle complex issues, and contribute to projects that shape the future of digital transformation.

AI-First. Future-Driven. Human-Centered.

At OpenText, AI is at the heart of everything we do - powering innovation, transforming work, and empowering digital knowledge workers. We are hiring talent AI can't replace to help us shape the future of information management. Join us.

A key part of any company’s information management strategy, OpenText enterprise content management (ECM) software provides Content Services to help connect content within context for core business processes to accelerate productivity, improve governance and drive digital transformation. With solutions ranging from intelligent capture to records management and archiving, Content Services connects information from across the enterprise with the people and systems that need it.

Your Impact

As a Software Developer, you will contribute to OpenText’s cloud and on-prem product suite within a collaborative Agile team. You will develop and maintain features, resolve defects, and write tests, with guidance from senior team members on complex tasks. You will work with technologies including Java, microservices, Kafka, PostgreSQL/MySQL and cloud platforms.

What The Role Offers

As a Software Developer, you will:

Deliver resilient and sustainable software projects, managing the entire process from design to implementation and rollout.
Execute defined projects to attain team-level goals, collaborating with the team to comprehend client challenges.
Prioritize tasks with the manager to deliver high-quality results that add significant value for the client.
Make informed and timely decisions by gathering input from others and considering client needs.
Communicate project information effectively to the manager, team, and clients, sharing relevant insights.
Demonstrate proficiency in consistently delivering high-quality code, translating business requirements into simple projects, navigating large code bases, and debugging other people's code.
Possess 2-5 years of previous professional experience.

What You Need To Succeed

3+ years of experience developing and maintaining software applications.
Working proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring, and SOAP/REST APIs.
Experience in web development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs.
Familiarity with JSON and AJAX; exposure to GWT/GXT and JAXB is beneficial.
Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and object-oriented design.
Familiarity with Docker containers and deployment workflows.
Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V.
Familiarity with Git, GitLab, Maven, JUnit, Selenium, and Apache Tomcat.
Experience writing unit tests and participating in integration testing and CI/CD.
Awareness of AI concepts and an interest in their use in software development.
