About Operatic Agency:
Operatic Agency isn’t just another creative digital agency - we're a powerhouse of research, strategy, storytelling, and technology that fuels business growth. Named one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies for six years, we bring brands closer to their audiences with bold ideas and cutting-edge executions.
If you’re passionate about transforming ideas into impactful narratives, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and are eager to make a difference, we want you on our team!
About the Role:
As a Paid Search & Social Specialist at Operatic, you'll be responsible for executing and optimizing performance-driven paid media campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
Reporting to the Director of Omnichannel Media, this is a highly hands-on role requiring the ability to independently build, launch, manage, and optimize a high volume of campaigns across multiple brands and accounts, ensuring accurate execution, effective budget management, and measurable results.
You'll bring strong platform expertise, a data-driven approach to performance optimization, and practical experience navigating pharmaceutical and healthcare advertising requirements in Canada.
Working closely with Media, Client Services, and Creative teams, you'll translate campaign strategies into effective activations. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, can manage competing priorities, and takes full ownership of campaign execution and performance.
What You’ll Do:
Paid Social Campaign Management
- Independently build, launch, manage, and optimize campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Execute campaigns across awareness, traffic, engagement, lead generation, and conversion objectives.
- Manage audience targeting, placements, creative implementation, bidding, budgets, and ongoing optimization.
- Implement creative and audience testing strategies, troubleshoot delivery issues, and stay current on platform capabilities and policies.
Pharmaceutical Advertising & Compliance
- Execute branded and unbranded pharmaceutical campaigns targeting both HCP and DTC audiences.
- Apply knowledge of Canadian pharmaceutical advertising requirements and platform-specific restrictions to ensure compliant campaign execution.
- Work with approved creative and messaging, navigating platform disapprovals and supporting English/French campaign execution, including Quebec-specific requirements.
Campaign Execution & Workflow Management
- Independently manage a high volume of active campaigns across multiple clients, brands, and platforms simultaneously.
- Own end-to-end execution, from campaign setup and QA through launch, monitoring, optimization, and completion.
- Manage competing deadlines while ensuring campaigns launch accurately, on time, and in alignment with approved media plans.
- Proactively identify and resolve campaign delivery, pacing, tracking, and performance issues.
Performance Optimization & Budget Management
- Monitor and optimize campaigns against relevant KPIs, including CTR, CPC, CPM, sessions, leads, conversions, CPA, and ROAS, where applicable.
- Manage budget pacing across campaigns and accounts, proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through testing, targeting refinements, and investment reallocation.
Reporting, Measurement & Insights
- Leverage platform reporting, GA4, Adobe Analytics, and Looker Studio to evaluate campaign performance and identify actionable insights.
- Ensure accurate tracking implementation, including UTMs, pixels, and conversion events, while troubleshooting attribution discrepancies.
- Support monthly reporting, campaign recaps, and performance reviews with clear insights and optimization recommendations.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Media, Creative, and Client Services teams to translate media plans into effective campaign activations.
- Provide platform expertise, communicate performance opportunities and challenges, and contribute to campaign planning, forecasts, and future media recommendations.
What You’ll Bring:
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Digital Advertising, Media Studies, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on paid search and paid social experience, preferably in an agency environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience executing Canadian pharmaceutical or healthcare campaigns, with an understanding of HCP/DTC advertising restrictions and platform policies.
- Strong hands-on proficiency across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
- Proven ability to independently build, launch, manage, and optimize a high volume of campaigns across multiple brands and accounts simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of campaign structures, audience targeting, bidding strategies, budget management, and performance optimization across search and social.
- Experience with conversion tracking, pixels, UTMs, attribution, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and other analytics platforms.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to identify performance gaps and translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong communication skills, ownership of campaign execution, and experience leveraging AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.
Nice To Have:
- Experience with both branded and unbranded pharmaceutical campaigns across HCP and DTC audiences.
- Familiarity with Canadian pharmaceutical advertising requirements, including PAAB and Ad Standards processes.
- Advanced Performance Max, YouTube, and lead generation campaign experience.
- Experience executing bilingual English/French campaigns or Quebec-specific media activations.
- French language proficiency.
- Familiarity with CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce) and lead quality analysis.
- Experience with Adobe Analytics, Looker Studio, and dashboard development.
- Exposure to programmatic advertising and broader omnichannel media planning.
- Experience contributing to media strategies, forecasts, or client-facing presentations.
Why Operatic Agency:
Competitive compensation and benefits.
This role offers a salary of $80,000–$90,000 CAD commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and mental health support.
Meaningful, complex work.
You’ll lead projects across a diverse portfolio spanning pharma, healthcare, and consumer brands - with real creative and technical depth. Every project is different, and the work genuinely matters to the clients and audiences it reaches.
A team that holds a high bar - and supports each other in meeting it.
We’re proud of our culture: collaborative, accountable, and driven by a shared standard of excellence. We recognize great work and celebrate the people behind it.
Real investment in your growth.
We offer mentorship, access to industry tools and training, and advancement pathways. You’ll be supported by senior leadership who want to develop you, not just deploy you.
Hybrid flexibility.
Our head office is based in Hamilton, Ontario, and we operate on a hybrid model: 2 days per week in the office, with the remainder remote. You’ll have a collaborative home base with room to focus on your own terms.
Operatic Agency values inclusion and access for all applicants and employees. Should you require accommodation to participate in the application and interview process, please let us know. Only those selected for next steps will be contacted.
