About Optim-Structure

Optim-Structure provides engineering services for pallet-racking systems. We work with rack suppliers, rack manufacturers, and businesses that operate warehouses and storage facilities.

We are looking for a hands-on Business Development & Marketing Manager to build our marketing activities and develop new client relationships. This is our first dedicated role in this area - an opportunity to shape our approach and take ownership of business growth.

About the role

Your primary focus will be finding new business opportunities and building lasting client relationships, supported by practical marketing activities.

You will work closely with our leadership and engineers to understand our services, communicate their value, and guide prospective clients from initial contact through the proposal and follow-up process. Our engineers will provide technical expertise and approve engineering scopes.

Responsibilities

Business development

Identify and approach potential clients, including pallet-rack suppliers, manufacturers, and warehouse operators.
Connect with decision-makers through direct outreach, networking, industry events, and other relevant channels.
Arrange meetings, understand client needs, and coordinate technical discussions with our engineers.
Develop relationships that generate repeat projects and referrals.
Coordinate proposal preparation with the engineering team and follow up on quotations and opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of contacts, opportunities, and follow-up activities in a customer relationship management system.

Marketing

Develop and carry out a practical marketing plan aligned with our services, target customers, and budget.
Improve our website content, LinkedIn presence, company presentations, and service materials.
Work with our engineers to turn completed projects and technical expertise into case studies and useful content.
Coordinate outside designers, website specialists, or other providers when needed.
Track marketing results and recommend improvements based on qualified inquiries and business opportunities.

What we are looking for

Demonstrated success in B2B business development, including finding prospects, building relationships, and winning new accounts.
Experience selling or marketing technical services or industrial solutions.
A hands-on approach to marketing, with strong writing and communication skills.
Confidence initiating conversations with prospective clients and following up consistently.
The ability to understand technical services and communicate their value clearly.
Strong organization skills and experience managing a sales pipeline.
The ability to work independently, set priorities, and build processes from the ground up.

Experience in pallet racking, material handling, warehousing, engineering, industrial equipment, or construction is an asset. An engineering degree is not required.
