About Optimize Financial Group
Optimize Financial Group is a premier wealth management firm based in Toronto, ON, dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial and life goals. We provide personalized financial solutions across financial planning, portfolio management, tax preparation, debt management, estate planning, insurance, and mortgages. Our holistic approach allows clients to access coordinated advice and solutions in one place.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Licensed Life Insurance Representative to work with Optimize’s established corporate client base and existing client relationships. This is not a cold-start or commission-only role: you will be supported by a strong platform, trusted client relationships, and meaningful opportunities to help clients access appropriate insurance solutions within the Optimize ecosystem.
The successful candidate will be a strong salesperson and relationship manager who is comfortable meeting with clients, identifying needs, explaining solutions clearly, following up consistently, and seeing each opportunity through from the initial conversation to completion.
You will play an important role in helping clients understand and obtain insurance coverage. You will work closely with internal teams and external insurance partners to deliver a professional, responsive, and client-first experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage insurance opportunities from the initial consultation through underwriting, policy issue, delivery, and follow-up.
- Meet with existing Optimize clients to understand their insurance needs.
- Conduct professional client consultations by phone, video, or in person, and explain relevant life insurance and accident and sickness insurance options, coverage features, costs, requirements, and next steps.
- Identify suitable insurance opportunities based on the client’s needs and recommend solutions.
- Gather client information and supporting documentation, prepare complete applications, and coordinate submissions with insurers and internal team members.
- Maintain consistent, proactive communication with clients to keep applications moving and ensure an excellent client experience.
- Coordinate effectively with insurers, underwriters, internal advisors, mortgage professionals, and other relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate client notes, disclosures, documentation, and pipeline activity in the company’s CRM and insurance systems.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in life insurance, accident and sickness insurance, financial services, mortgage lending, banking, wealth management, or a client-facing sales role is strongly preferred.
- Active Life and Accident & Sickness Insurance Agent licence in good standing.
- A proven ability to build rapport, earn trust, identify client needs, and guide conversations toward a clear next step.
- Strong sales instincts, follow-up discipline, and comfort working with clients through a multi-step application and underwriting process.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain insurance solutions in a clear, balanced, and client-friendly way.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple client files, deadlines, documents, and stakeholder relationships at once.
- Comfortable working with CRM platforms, online application tools, email, spreadsheets, and insurer portals.
- A self-motivated, results-oriented approach and a genuine interest in helping clients.
What’s In It For You?
- Base salary of $60,000, plus a quarterly bonus structure designed to provide strong earning potential, with the opportunity to earn comfortably into six figures.
- An established client base and existing corporate relationships, allowing you to focus on serving clients rather than starting from scratch.
- The opportunity to work within a comprehensive financial-services platform that integrates insurance, mortgages, investments, financial planning, tax preparation, and estate planning.
- Meaningful exposure to high-quality client relationships and collaboration with experienced financial-services professionals.
- A dynamic, entrepreneurial, and high-performing work environment in Toronto’s financial district.
