- Develop and grow engineering leaders and teams through clear expectations, coaching, and talent development
- Experience scaling teams through recruiting, onboarding, and staff augmentation
Required Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in software engineering management role
- Experience leading multi-team engineering organizations of 20+ engineers, either directly or through engineering leads/managers
- Experience leading teams through the full product lifecycle - from building cloud-native customer-facing software to operating it at enterprise scale
- Experience in cloud-native design, principles, and best practices
- Experience designing, building, and operating large scale data platforms or data intensive distributed systems
- Experience in GCP (AWS/Azure acceptable)
- Experience directly managing software engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career development

- Demonstrated commitment to building a stronger organization - investing in hiring, mentorship, engineering culture, and continuous improvement beyond immediate project needs
- Proven experience leading multiple teams and/or managers in complex, regulated environments or medical devices
- Solid domain experience in Enterprise Imaging, Radiology workflows, or Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) platforms
- Experience driving AI adoption within engineering teams to improve productivity, code quality, or delivery velocity
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including DICOM, HL7, and FHIR
At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone. We believe everyone-of every race, gender, sexuality, age, location and income-deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life. Today, however, there are still far too many barriers to good health which are disproportionately experienced by people of color, historically marginalized groups and those with lower incomes. We are committed to mitigating our impact on the environment and enabling and delivering equitable care that addresses health disparities and improves health outcomes - an enterprise priority reflected in our mission.
