We have embarked on a CEO-led transformation, as part of our journey to become a truly purpose-led, future fit company. <hr>Key Responsibilities/Requirements: Dura-Line is hiring a Material Handler in our manufacturing plant in St. Albert, Alberta to help oversee the production of high-quality products within the department. You will be responsible for supporting the production team, ensuring the required materials for each line are drawn from appropriate locations and set up, monitored, and made available throughout the production period or shift. You will also assist and support the Shipping group with Shipping/Receiving tasks as needed.We are looking for team players, those who value working in a diverse environment, those committed to safety, and set the example with a positive mindset.Schedule: Currently 12-hour shift, starting at 645am (days) or 645pm (nights) and going till 700am or pm with a 4 on, 3 off one week; and 4 off, 3 on the next week. The rotation is per 2 weeks (Week 1 is Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat and Week 2 is Sun/Wed/Thur). Seasonal requirements may change this schedule based on operational/production capacity.We have open positions for Days or NightsSAFETY is priority!!! Safety Steel Toed Shoes are required (must be CSA approved). Shoe Reimbursement voucher provided upon start date.Responsibilities and Requirements:<ul><li>2-3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Warehouse/Shipping/Distribution environment</li><li>2+ years experience with Forklift, Counterbalance Forklift is preferred. Experience with Telehandler forklift is an asset.</li><li>High school diploma or GED is desired</li><li>Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety documents</li><li>Responsible for ensuring the required materials for each line are drawn from appropriate locations and set up, monitored, and made available throughout the production period or shift</li><li>Prepare load and unload shipments as required </li><li>Assist with inventory control and warehouse organization</li><li>Organize staging and setup of materials as per Yard Coordinator’s instruction</li><li>Fulfill orders by packaging necessary materials and preparing them for shipment</li><li>Store materials in designated storage locations and appropriate areas.</li><li>Ability to perform activities such as swamping, securing dunnage to decks, physical movement of boxes and bags, etc.</li><li>Provide accurate documentation to Shipping/Receiving team for processing.</li><li>Inspect all inbound and outbound shipments for damage.</li><li>Ability to safely operate forklift and other related lift equipment to support shipping, receiving, feeding production lines, clearing production lines and other work areas</li><li>Assist with weekly/monthly/yearly cycle counts.</li><li>Coordinate with the production team to ensure required materials are staged for an upcoming production</li><li>Safely use basic hand and power tools</li><li>Follow safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions – SAFETY ALWAYS</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor to facilitate business demands</li></ul>Working conditions:<ul><li>Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance</li><li>Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects</li><li>Mobility sufficient to allow frequent entrance and exits from lift truck</li><li>Ability to work outside during inclement weather</li><li>Non-climate controlled facility</li></ul>The compensation for this position will typically start at $26.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
