We have embarked on a CEO-led transformation, as part of our journey to become a truly purpose-led, future fit company.</p><hr><p><strong>Key Responsibilities/Responsibilities: </strong><br><br>Dura-Line is hiring for an <strong>Offline Operator </strong>at our manufacturing plant located in St. Albert, Alberta to help support the production of high-quality products. This is an entry-level position that offers a great opportunity for growth and development within our dynamic organization. The Offline Operator supports the Production and Materials activities by ensuring quality standards and supplying added<span> </span>value products to meet customer needs including grinding, reel assembly, pelletizing, material handling, etc. We are looking for team players, those who value working in a diverse environment, those committed to safety, and set the example with a positive mindset.</p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Schedule: </strong>Currently 12-hour shift, starting at 645pm with a 4 on, 3 off one week; and 4 off, 3 on the next week. The rotation is per 2 weeks (Week 1 is Mon/Tues/Fri/Sat and Week 2 is Sun/Wed/Thur). Seasonal requirements may change this schedule based on operational/production capacity.</p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><p class="MsoNormal">We have 2 open positions for Nights.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>SAFETY is priority!!!</strong> Safety Steel Toed Shoes are required (must be CSA approved). Shoe Reimbursement voucher provided upon start date.</p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><p class="MsoNormal">Responsibilities:</p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Custom Reel Building: Assemble custom-built plastic or steel reels to correct specifications and coiling requirements and ensure reels are ready for production at all times.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Operate/utilize the grinder, grind any scrap, defective, or otherwise non-usable standard duct product, sticks, or on reels.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Disassembly or any empty or non-used reels, and/or reel returns.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Equipment Operation: Utilize various equipment including hydraulic reeler, electric reeler, lift truck, electric and manual pallet jack, as well as various hand tools (impact gun, Sawzall, conduit cutter).</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Plant support: Manage both grinded and pelletized silos and ensure that levels are maintained according to operational requirements.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Loading super-sacks for shipping to other plants/locations as needed.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Inspect products for quality non-conformance and promptly report any findings.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Assist other employees in the disposal of scrap pipes.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Keep equipment clean and report any defects promptly.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Work Area Management: Maintain a neat and orderly work area to enhance efficiency.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Safety Focus: Adhere to all safety requirements for the position, supporting a secure work environment.</p></li></ul><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Team Player: Provide assistance to supervisors and colleagues, fostering a collaborative work environment.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Accurate Paperwork Handling: Complete paperwork with precision, following all procedures and instructions meticulously.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Perform additional duties as directed by management, showcasing adaptability and dedication to the team.</p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"></p><p class="MsoNormal">Requirements:</p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer operations.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Educational Skills: Reading, writing, and mathematical competency.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Independence: Ability to work independently and take initiative.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Physical Stamina: Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking on hard or uneven surfaces in various weather conditions for the duration of the shift.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Physical Strength: Capable of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Team Spirit: Willingness to support each function of the manufacturing process.</p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal">We Offer:</p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Career Growth: Dura-Line provides ample opportunities for career development and advancement within the organization.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Innovative Environment: Join a team that values innovation and encourages creative problem-solving.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Competitive Benefits: Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, ensuring your well-being and job satisfaction.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Safety Culture: Be part of a company that prioritizes the safety and well-being of its employees.</p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p>Team Collaboration: Experience a supportive work culture where collaboration is key to success.</p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"></p><p class="MsoNormal">The compensation for this position will start at $27.00 per hour. There is a night shift premium of an additional $2.50 per hour.<span> </span>The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.</p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><p class="MsoNormal">The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
