Co-founder Role

Location: Montreal, Quebec

Commitment: Part-time initially

Compensation: Equity-based co-founder opportunity

About Orion

I'm building Orion, an early-stage venture exploring how AI can make people and businesses more capable.

We believe that people are capable of much more than the opportunities and systems around them currently allow.

As AI continues to advance, we see an opportunity to make expertise more accessible: building systems that help ordinary people perform work they might never have thought themselves capable of doing.

Our ambition is to create a place where ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

We're starting by exploring how AI, automation, and human oversight can help businesses solve recurring operational problems and get work done more reliably.

The long-term vision is much bigger: building AI-powered systems that expand what people can accomplish, making valuable skills and expertise more accessible.

We're still early. We're speaking with businesses, validating problems, and working toward our first paid pilots.

The Opportunity

I'm looking for a business-oriented co-founder to help shape and build Orion alongside me.

You'll take ownership of the commercial side of the company, working closely with me on customer discovery, business development, sales, and our overall go-to-market strategy.

This isn't an employee position or a role where you'll simply be assigned tasks. You'll have a genuine say in the direction of the company and responsibility for building an important part of it.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Customer Discovery: Speak with business owners and operators to understand their challenges, identify recurring problems, and uncover opportunities.
  • Business Development: Identify potential customers, build relationships, conduct outreach, and develop partnerships.
  • Sales & Validation: Help shape our initial offering, test willingness to pay, secure pilot customers, and develop our early sales process.
  • Go-to-Market: Work on Orion's positioning, messaging, market entry, and early growth strategy.
  • Company Building: Challenge assumptions, contribute to strategic decisions, and help shape what Orion becomes.

You'll have significant ownership over the business side and the freedom to figure out how to move things forward.

Who I'm Looking For

Ideally, someone around 20–25 years old, based in Montreal or nearby, who is at a similar stage of life and wants to build something meaningful over the long term.

You might be a university student, recent graduate, or someone already working on something of your own.

I'm particularly interested in someone who:

  • Is highly self-driven and takes initiative without needing constant direction.
  • Thinks independently and isn't afraid to challenge ideas or disagree.
  • Is intellectually curious and enjoys understanding how businesses and systems work.
  • Is comfortable speaking with people, building relationships, and selling ideas.
  • Can turn ambiguity into action and take responsibility for outcomes.
  • Is genuinely interested in AI, technology, entrepreneurship, and the future of work.
  • Has demonstrated initiative through something they've built, sold, organized, or taken ownership of.

Experience in sales, business development, marketing, entrepreneurship, or community building is valuable.

You don't need a particular degree, an impressive résumé, or previous founder experience. What matters more is how you think, what you've done, and how you approach problems.

I'm looking for someone who brings a different perspective, challenges me, and makes the company better. Not someone who simply agrees with everything.

What to Expect
  • Montreal-based collaboration, ideally in person.
  • Part-time commitment initially, with meaningful and consistent involvement.
  • Equity-based co-founder opportunity, with the structure to be discussed based on commitment and responsibilities.
  • An early-stage environment where things are still being figured out.
  • Real ownership, responsibility, and involvement in shaping the company.

This will require initiative, patience, resilience, and a willingness to do the unglamorous work that comes with building something from scratch.

A Little About Me

I'm a 21-year-old computer science student at Concordia University and have previously built and worked on AI-powered ventures.

I'm handling the technical and product side of Orion, exploring how we can use AI and existing technologies to solve real problems and eventually turn repeatable solutions into systems.

Now I'm looking for someone who can complement that with strong commercial instincts and help turn the vision into a real business.

Interested?

I'd love to hear from you.
