The Warehouse Technician – Medical Consumables plays a vital role in supporting frontline Paramedic Operations by ensuring medical supplies, inventory, and equipment are accurately tracked, maintained, and readily available across the system. This position combines administrative and operational responsibilities, including inventory control, order processing, receiving, and distribution, of medical consumables, helping maintain a high level of operational readiness in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Utilizes SAP and other inventory management systems to process, track, restock, and coordinate shipments of medical consumables and equipment across operational bases.
- Maintains inventory accuracy through regular counts, stock rotation, replenishment monitoring, and tracking of expiring inventory to ensure operational readiness.
- Receives incoming shipments, verifies accuracy and completeness of deliveries, and processes all associated documentation in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Supports biomedical activities by assisting with the receiving, and distribution of medical and EMS equipment.
- Assists with warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and equipment distribution to support efficient service delivery across the system.
- Maintains accurate records and supports reporting requirements related to inventory levels, supply usage, and operational logistics.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in administration, healthcare administration, EMS logistics, EMS supply chain, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, biomedical support, paramedic services, or a related field, with experience in healthcare administration, medical logistics, inventory coordination, or operational support within a medical environment considered an asset.
- Knowledge of, or experience working within, an air ambulance or emergency medical services environment is considered an asset.
- Experience with inventory management or asset tracking systems (e.g., SAP, Q Pulse) is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, and asset management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain, inspect, and perform minor repairs on medical or EMS equipment.
- Valid Class G Driver’s License required.
- Valid Forklift Licence an asset
- Strong organizational, administrative, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
