Collaborate with Purchasing to obtain competitive pricing for materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
Review estimates with project managers, division leaders, and site supervisors to validate project assumptions and execution strategies.
Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, tender reviews, and project closeout discussions.
Analyze construction methods, scheduling requirements, productivity factors, and project risks to improve estimate accuracy.
Follow up on submitted proposals and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and industry partners.
Participate in forecasting, workload planning, estimating reports, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with business development opportunities and support strategic bid pursuits.
Other duties as assigned

Technical Requirements

Electrical Trade Certification, Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, or equivalent industry experience
Experience estimating electrical construction projects in industrial, commercial, or institutional environments
Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project execution practices

Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, BIM platforms, and related construction technologies is considered an asset

Business Requirements

Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
Ability to assess project risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization

Cultural Requirements

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Professional, accountable, and committed to delivering results.
Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative and supportive workplace culture
