Responsibilities
- Develop draft work plans with detailed steps and timetables aligned to the required start and end dates, for approval prior to tasks commencing.
- Define application reference architecture and specifications for digital program front-end components (Power Apps, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Gatsby/React).
- Investigate and provide recommendations on Microsoft Azure and Power Platform (including Dataverse) capabilities and configuration in support of event-enabled microservices.
- Investigate and recommend cloud data fabric capabilities and configuration that enable business, information, operations, and security requirements.
- Design and document reference architecture for microservices that meet business, information, operations, and security requirements.
- Define, document, and configure DevOps processes, pipelines, and automation supporting continuous build, integration, and testing of applications and front-end components.
- Design and formally document, using ISO standards, both aggregate and fine-grained microservices, and develop microservices based on the ISO designs.
- Design and develop the migration of Dynamics capabilities to Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services.
- Develop documentation and input for development user stories and product backlogs for microservices and front-end development work.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer to development squads and program team members, and assist feature leads with backlog grooming, prioritization, and refinement.
- Lead workshops and learning sessions, and provide onboarding targets, milestones, and training details for development teams.
- Provide technical and product impact assessments, status updates, progress reports, issue resolution, and completion of deliverables.
- 10+ years of experience performing work as a technology architect or solution architect, including developing technical architectures, frameworks, and strategies; analyzing and evaluating alternative technology solutions; ensuring the integration of technology solutions; and reviewing application, program, and technical infrastructure designs for adherence to standards.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing solutions leveraging Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Power Platform.
- 2+ years of experience designing event-driven API services and writing technical development specifications for event-driven API services.
- 2+ years of experience developing custom code using C# with .NET for enterprise-level systems.
- 3+ years of experience developing microservices or API orchestration services for enterprise-level systems.
- 3+ years of experience architecting solutions for the cloud using Azure Functions.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, or integrating Microsoft Dataverse (previously Dynamics Common Data Service).
- 3+ years of experience as a technology or solution architect within a Government of Canada department, agency, or crown corporation.
- Experience developing business solutions using the Microsoft Dynamics CRM xRM application framework that have been delivered to production.
- Experience developing and maintaining technical architectures, documentation, frameworks, and strategies for Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Microsoft Power Apps implementations.

Responsibilities
Define and document application and microservices architectures, investigate Azure and Power Platform capabilities, and design cloud migrations and event-driven services. Establish DevOps pipelines, support development backlogs and teams through technical guidance and training, and report on progress, impacts, and deliverables.
Requirements
Requires 10+ years of technology or solution architecture experience, including at least 5 years with Dynamics CRM or Power Platform and experience delivering production xRM solutions. Also requires experience with event-driven APIs, C#/.NET, enterprise microservices, Azure Functions, Dataverse, and architecture work for a Government of Canada organization; Secret clearance is required.
