Franchise Development Representative (Inside Sales)

London, Ontario | Full-Time | Hybrid

Oxford Learning is seeking a strong inside-sales professional to join our Franchise Development team.

This is a new role focused on the top of our franchise recruitment pipeline. You will be the first point of contact for prospective franchise owners and will be responsible for responding quickly to all new inquiries, qualifying serious candidates, advancing them to the next stage, and keeping opportunities moving through the sales process.

This is a great opportunity for someone who likes the phone, works with urgency, and is comfortable talking about money and business ownership.

In this role you will work closely with the Franchise Development team and gain exposure to the entire franchise sales process, from first inquiry through signed agreement and new-centre opening.

What You Will Do

Connect with prospective franchise owners.

New inquiries come directly to you. You will respond quickly, make as many attempts as required to reach qualified prospects, and conduct structured introductory calls to understand their motivation to join our Oxford Learning family. You'll note their location, investment capacity, timeline, and decision-making process.

Qualify and advance strong candidates.

Your goal is not simply to make calls. It is to identify serious prospective franchise owners and move them forward. When a candidate is qualified, you will complete the next-step documentation with them and book their meeting with one of our Franchise Development Specialists.

Own follow-up and lead nurturing.

Not every strong candidate is ready immediately. You will manage ongoing follow-up and re-engagement through phone, email, text, and marketing automation, making sure good opportunities are not lost.

Maintain a disciplined CRM.

You will keep the CRM current and accurate, including logging all call activity, lead status, next steps, follow-up dates, recordings, and pipeline information.

Track performance.

You will help produce the funnel metrics we use to manage franchise development, including response times, qualification activity, meetings booked, meeting attendance, lead sources, and pipeline progression.

Who We Are Looking For

You may currently work in inside sales, business development, recruitment, admissions, financial services, franchise development, or another phone-based commercial role.

More important than the industry is how you work.

You Should Be Someone Who

Has at least two years of experience in a phone-forward sales or business-development role
Has excellent communication skills and is confident speaking with experienced businesspeople and prospective business owners
Can ask direct questions about finances, investment capacity, motivation, and timing
Communicates professionally and naturally without sounding scripted
Understands that strong follow-up is part of professional selling
Keeps commitments and follows through without needing to be chased
Is highly organized and comfortable managing multiple opportunities at different stages
Is comfortable working in a CRM such as Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, or a similar platform
Writes clearly and professionally

Experience in franchising, marketing automation, education, multi-unit businesses, or professional services is an asset. French language skills are also an asset.

Compensation

Base salary: $56,000 to $62,000 / year, depending on experience

Performance compensation: Quarterly performance bonus with a $10,000 annual target and additional upside for strong performance, plus a per-transaction incentive on completed franchise sales and resales.

Expected first-year total earnings: Approximately $66,000 to $72,000, depending on experience, ramp-up, individual performance, and completed transactions.

As you develop, you will also gain exposure to more advanced franchise-development activities and opportunities to take on greater responsibility within the team.

Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position: Head Office for three days a week minimum and as required with hybrid arrangements up to two days per week.

Oxford Learning Head Office

747 Hyde Park Road, London, Ontario

Three days per week the work hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Two days a week will run on flex-time from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A paid Saturday-morning rotation will also be required approximately once every three weeks, with additional flex-time provided in lieu.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and live within commuting distance of London, Ontario. Relocation assistance is not available.
