Original job description

At Oxygen8, we’re driven by a simple mission: to make indoor spaces healthier and buildings more energy-efficient. Our 100% electric ventilation systems improve air quality, reduce carbon footprints, and help people feel safe and comfortable in the spaces where they live, work, and play.

Since 2019, we’ve grown from a single solution into a portfolio of flexible systems designed for how buildings are actually built and used. We value creativity, collaboration, and ownership – here, your ideas can shape solutions that make a real difference.

Working at Oxygen8 means joining a fast-moving, innovative team where problem-solving and continuous improvement are part of the culture. Our momentum has been recognized along the way: in 2025, we were named Vancouver’s #1 fastest-growing company, and in 2024, we earned Company of the Year – Scale from the BC Tech Association, ranked #1 in Clean Technology on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, and #28 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500.

About The Role

Location: hybrid at one of our Toronto or Vancouver offices

Position type: full-time & permanent

Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000

Are you someone who thrives on solving problems in creative ways and takes pride in getting every detail just right? We’re looking for a curious and resourceful individual to join our team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work directly helps deliver customized HVAC solutions to an established client base across Canada and the United States. In this role, you’ll go beyond the limits of our in-house software by manually editing and refining PDFs to reflect unique customer requirements, working closely with a hybrid team based across Vancouver, Toronto, and Gaspé.

This is not a sales role and involves no cold calling or HVAC system design - instead, it’s a customer-focused position where your attention to detail, organization, and ability to think outside the box will make a real impact. If you enjoy turning complex requests into clear, accurate results and want to be part of a supportive team that values precision and creativity, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC System Optimization & Technical Support:

Analyze project requirements and prepare documentation, calculations, and performance data using various software tools
Apply HVAC design principles to real-world customer projects
Support the development and optimization of HVAC solutions using psychrometric charts and ASHRAE standards

Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with customers to recommend suitable products, features, and accessories for their projects
Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams, including Sales, Production, and Applications
Provide timely and accurate technical support to ensure smooth project execution

Product Knowledge & Communication

Develop a strong understanding of Oxygen8 products and clearly explain technical concepts to customers
Stay up to date on product changes and updates and share accurate information with customers and internal teams
Prepare clear and well-structured technical documents for customers and internal stakeholders

Process Improvement & Industry Engagement

Create, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Represent Oxygen8 at industry events, trade shows, or webinars as needed
Support continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and documentation

Experience And Skills

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Strong technical aptitude and an interest in learning about HVAC systems, psychrometrics, DOAS units, and applicable ASHRAE standards
Ability to understand technical information and apply it to practical, customer-focused solutions
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with technical documentation, calculations, and software tools
Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and the United States

Core Skills & Competencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain technical information in a clear and simple way to different audiences
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to meeting project deadlines
Curiosity, resourcefulness, and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for support
Positive and collaborative approach to working with customers and internal teams

Nice To Haves

Exposure to HVAC, mechanical systems, building systems, or another technical industry
Basic understanding of psychrometrics, DOAS units, or ASHRAE standards
Experience working in a technical, applications, customer support, or project coordination role
