Accounting Intern

Employment Type: Full Time, Contract (May – August)

Internship Overview

As Accounting Intern, you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience in the Accounts Payable and Cash department and be responsible for providing assistance for our 30+ departments spread across Canada. Students will build practical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to real projects that support our business, customers and communities.

Day to Day

Preparing, coding & processing of invoices
Reconciling supplier accounts
Communicating with country locations to resolve accounting discrepancies
Providing back-up support for the Cash and Accounts Payable Clerks

What We're Looking For

Enrolled in a degree or diploma program, such as:
- Agribusiness
- Business Management
- Economics
- Accounting/ Finance Management
Skilled in the use of Microsoft 365 Application Suite (Word, Excel)
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Eagerness to learn, with a proactive and independent approach to completing assigned work
Full-time availability for a 4-month term, May – Aug
