Job Title: Platform Engineer (10+ Years of exp.)
Location: Toronto, ON
Work Arrangement: Hybrid-2 days/ week
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: CAD 60-62/hour
Domain: BFSI

Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Big Data / Platform Engineering
- Hands-on experience in AWS and Hadoop ecosystems
- Should have good exp. with Netezza, SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Hands-on exp. with SSIS and Shell Scripting
- Strong exp. in AWS Cloud services: EMR, EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Redshift, AWS Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Airflow etc.
- Experience in data migration projects (e.g., Hadoop to AWS, DB migrations)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL design patterns
- Expertise in query optimization and performance tuning
- Experience supporting production data platforms

Responsibilities
Support production data platforms and contribute to data engineering and platform engineering work across AWS and Hadoop ecosystems. Participate in data migration projects, including Hadoop-to-AWS and database migrations, and help optimize data queries and platform performance.
Requirements
Requires 10 or more years of experience in data engineering, big data, or platform engineering, with hands-on experience in AWS, Hadoop, Netezza, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SSIS, and shell scripting. Candidates should have strong knowledge of AWS services, data migration, data warehousing, ETL design patterns, query optimization, and production platform support.
