Original job description

At Pacific Blue Cross, we're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of British Columbians. Our strategic clients are an important part of delivering on that commitment and supporting them means building strong relationships while continuously looking for ways to improve how we work together.

We're looking for an experienced Strategic Account Executive to manage some of our most complex and highly customized client relationships, bringing together exceptional client service, strategic thinking, organization, and problem-solving.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced group benefits or strategic account professional who wants to go beyond traditional account management. You'll take the time to deeply understand your clients and how our business works, identify pain points and opportunities for improvement, and turn those insights into practical plans, projects, processes, and solutions that support both the client experience and operational efficiency.

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Accounts, you'll work across Pacific Blue Cross, providing significant lateral leadership and partnering with teams throughout the organization as well as clients, advisors, and external partners. You'll manage an existing book of business while supporting annual planning, renewals and retention, and identifying opportunities to strengthen how complex accounts are managed.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, curious, client-focused, and motivated by interesting and complex work. You'll have flexibility and autonomy to understand what your clients need, bring people together, and move improvements forward. Project management experience will be valuable as you turn client and operational challenges into actionable solutions.

If you've held roles such as Group Benefits Account Executive, Group Insurance Account Executive, Employee Benefits Account Executive, or have experience in Health Benefits, Benefits Plan Design, Renewal Negotiation, Benefits Consulting, or Strategic Account Management, we'd love to hear from you.
