Mechanical Engineering | Construction | International
Some projects require much more than just a good schedule.
At Gala Systèmes, a subsidiary of the PACO Group located in Saint-Hubert on Montreal's South Shore, we design lifting systems that transform performance venues around the world. Behind each of our projects lie technical challenges, contractual issues, tight deadlines, and a multitude of stakeholders who must move in the same direction.
To ensure the success of each of these projects, we are looking for a project manager capable of understanding the technical challenges, navigating the contractual aspects with ease, and uniting the various stakeholders around a common goal.
If this vision of project management resonates with you, you might find your place with us.
What Awaits You
You will be responsible for projects where every detail counts.
You will manage large-scale international projects, from contract analysis to final delivery.
You will become the point of contact between our teams, our clients, architects, engineers, general contractors, and the various partners involved, ensuring everyone works towards a common goal.
Your role will involve both coordination and anticipation. This includes reading and interpreting contracts, understanding the impact of technical decisions, negotiating when changes are necessary, and staying on track with costs, deadlines, and commitments made to the client.
Each project demands rigor, sound judgment, and an excellent ability to find solutions when unforeseen circumstances arise.
At our company, a good project manager does more than just coordinate. They bring together the right expertise to transform an ambitious project into a successful outcome.
You'll recognize yourself if...
- You naturally take your projects to heart and fully assume responsibility for them.
- You are as comfortable in a client meeting as you are with a contract or a technical quote.
- You know how to create a climate of trust with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
- You appreciate both the technical and contractual aspects of a project.
- You remain calm when unforeseen events occur and you prioritize finding solutions by demonstrating sound judgment and diplomacy.
- You enjoy driving projects forward... and the teams that carry them out.
- You understand that a good project manager protects the interests of both the client and their company.
What You Need
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, construction engineering, or relevant experience.
- Significant experience in project management with external clients in a construction context (a major asset).
- A good understanding of contracts, tenders, and technical specifications in engineering projects.
- Experience in budget management and financial monitoring of projects.
- A strong interest in projects with a mechanical component.
- Excellent command of French and English.
- Availability for a few trips per year to participate in coordination meetings or site visits.
What Makes Us Different
- An environment where decisions are made quickly and collaboration is at the heart of projects.
- A multidisciplinary team that brings together engineering, manufacturing, installation, and project management under one roof.
- The opportunity to contribute to iconic projects that transform internationally renowned performance venues.
- Career advancement opportunities within the various subsidiaries of the PACO Group.
- A flexible and hybrid work schedule.
Behind every exceptional project is an equally exceptional team. If you believe you can contribute with your expertise, judgment, and collaborative spirit, we look forward to getting to know you. Send us your application. We can't wait to meet you!
