Original job description

Company Overview:

Paku Foods makes fresh ready-to-eat Japanese products (Onigiri) in Toronto and delivers daily to 80+ businesses across the GTA. We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Representative to open new wholesale accounts and look after our existing ones. This field-based role involves visiting cafés, grocers, convenience stores, campuses, and offices, running tastings, and building lasting relationships with buyers and owners. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a record of winning new B2B accounts, and the discipline to work independently on the road. Experience in food, beverage, or CPG sales is valued. You will work directly with the owners of a small, fast-moving team.

Qualifications:

Self-directed: you plan your own routes and work independently on the road and from home
Valid Ontario driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
Familiarity with Toronto and the GTA, and comfort driving and parking across the city
Strong spoken and written English, with a professional manner with buyers, managers, and owners

Pay and Benefits

$80,000 to $120,000 a year: Base salary plus commission and signing bonuses, with $100,000+ first-year potential at strong performance (an estimate, not a guarantee)
Signing bonus for each new account, paid after the account's first month
Commission on net sales for the first 6 months of each account you sign
Additional performance bonus on new-account net sales
Car allowance, parking reimbursed with receipts, and a company phone and plan
Health benefits and insurance

Schedule and Location

Full-time, permanent
Toronto, Ontario: field-based across the GTA, primarily remote work
