Title: Data Analyst

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Pay Rate: $70,000 - $90,000

Site: Head Office - Burnaby

About The Role

Working within Paladin’s Innovation & Technology team, this position supports teams across the organization from our Burnaby location. You will work in a collaborative, practical environment focused on solving real business challenges, improving workflows, and delivering clear data solutions that drive business decisions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Work directly with various business stakeholders to understand business problems, processes, and reporting needs. Communicate insights, recommendations, and actionable strategies through reports, presentations, and discussions with stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve data collection, reporting processes, and operational workflows. Take ownership of projects through completion while managing multiple priorities.
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, including data models, DAX, Power Query, and paginated reports.
• Investigate data quality and reporting issues, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using scripting and low-code tools.
• Test, troubleshoot, and support reporting and automated solutions after deployment.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes to integrate and prepare data for reporting, analysis, data validation, and transformation.
• Perform other responsibilities as required to meet organizational requirements.

Must Haves

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Strong practical experience with SQL and Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, Report Builder, data modeling, and dashboard development).
• Proven business analysis skills with the ability to understand business processes and translate user needs into technical solutions.
• Direct experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and take full ownership of projects from requirements to delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to offer innovative solutions

Nice-to-Haves

• Four-year post-secondary degree, preferably in business, science, or a related field.
• Experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud data platforms.
• Experience with data warehousing and dimensional or relational data modeling.
• Experience using Python for data processing, analysis, or automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, such as Power Automate or Power Apps.
• Experience using Git or Azure DevOps for version control and development processes.
