Remote · Part-time · Equity-only: 0.5%–1.5% Vancouver preferred, but open to the right person anywhere in North America About Palette Palette is a consumer travel product that turns the places people discover online into organized, searchable, and shareable trips. Instead of losing a restaurant, hotel, activity, or destination inside TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or a group chat, people can save it to Palette, see it on a map, organize it into an itinerary, and share the finished guide with others. We are in an early beta and are focusing our initial growth on travel creators and people who already curate and share trips with an audience. The role We are looking for a Founding Community & Creator Growth Lead to join Palette’s core team. This is not a freelance content-production role, a social media coordinator position, or a job where you inherit a finished marketing playbook. You will work directly with the founders, designers, and engineers to build that playbook with us. You will be on the ground speaking with creators and early users, testing acquisition ideas, shaping Palette’s positioning, identifying product gaps, and building the community and growth systems that future team members will inherit. Our immediate opportunity is to help travel creators turn scattered social content into useful, polished Palette guides that they can share with their audiences. Your first major question will be: > Can Palette help travel creators turn their content into genuinely useful trip guides - and can those guides become a repeatable source of new users? > What you will own Identify promising travel creators and build a focused outreach pipeline. Turn selected creator content into polished Palette ShareLinks and trip guides. Approach creators with something valuable already made - not a generic partnership pitch. Build genuine relationships with creators, early adopters, and travel communities. Work with interested creators to refine, publish, and distribute their guides. Develop creator campaigns, collaborations, ambassador ideas, and community programs. Produce lightweight short-form content that demonstrates creator guides and real Palette use cases. Test outreach messages, hooks, calls to action, collaboration formats, and distribution channels. Speak regularly with creators and early users, then turn their feedback into positioning, onboarding, and product recommendations. Track the funnel from creator outreach → published guide → guide views → sign-ups and imports. Document what works and turn early experiments into repeatable systems. Help recruit and onboard future community, content, and growth contributors as Palette expands. Why this is a founding role You will not be joining at the edge of the company simply to manage social accounts. You will help shape how Palette grows and what we build. As a core team member, you will: Work directly with Palette’s founders and product team. Participate in product and go-to-market discussions. Help define our initial creator and community personas. Influence the roadmap through direct conversations with creators and users. Design Palette’s first repeatable community-led acquisition engine. Establish the voice, partnerships, processes, and metrics that future hires will inherit. Help determine when and how Palette expands from creators into group travel and the broader consumer market. Have meaningful autonomy and equity reflecting the risk and responsibility of joining early. What success could look like in the first 60 days Together, we would refine the exact targets, but an effective first 60 days might include: Define and validate the initial travel-creator persona. Build a focused pipeline of 50–100 relevant micro-creators. Create 10–15 strong example creator guides. Hold meaningful conversations with at least 10 creators. Secure the first 3–5 creator collaborations. Identify which creator segment and outreach approach respond most strongly. Publish initial creator-led campaigns and measure audience response. Establish a simple funnel for creator outreach, guide publishing, audience activity, and attributable sign-ups. Deliver clear product and onboarding recommendations based on creator feedback. These are initial hypotheses to shape together - not rigid quotas imposed before we understand the channel. You may be a good fit if You understand TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, creator culture, and how online communities form. You have built an audience, managed creators, run partnerships, grown a consumer community, or helped an early product find its first users. You are comfortable with thoughtful cold outreach and consistent follow-up. You can create credible short-form content using tools such as CapCut, Canva, or equivalent tools. You know the difference between activity metrics and meaningful growth. You enjoy testing ideas, reviewing results, and improving the next experiment. You can turn informal community conversations into useful product insight. You are comfortable operating independently in an early-stage environment with limited resources. You communicate openly when something is working, failing, delayed, or unclear. You care about travel discovery, curation, creator tools, or community-led products. You can realistically commit approximately 10–15 hours per week. You do not need to match every point. Evidence of initiative, judgment, consistency, and genuine community-building ability matters more than a conventional marketing résumé. Compensation and commitment This is currently an equity-only, part-time founding role. Palette is pre-revenue and cannot offer a salary yet. The anticipated equity range is 0.5%–1.5%, depending on relevant experience, weekly commitment, scope of ownership, and mutual fit. The role begins with a 60-day mutual working period so both sides can evaluate the collaboration before finalizing a long-term agreement. Any equity arrangement, vesting terms, responsibilities, and expectations will be documented in writing. If Palette reaches the financial milestones required to support salaries, converting core roles to paid positions will be a priority. However, candidates should not join based on an assumed date for cash compensation. Because we are early, priorities will evolve as we learn. We value people who are comfortable with ambiguity but who also improve clarity for everyone around them. Open communication, ownership, and long-term alignment matter as much as raw output.
