- Enforce and follow lockout/tagout procedures and safe working at heights or in confined spaces when applicable.
- Support 5S in maintenance and production areas; ensure tools and spare parts are stored and labelled correctly.
- Help coordinate and support external contractors on site, ensuring work is done safely and to specification.
- Assist with basic programming or parameter adjustments on equipment within your training (e.g., HMI settings, simple optic programming).
- 100% of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks completed on time and properly documented.
- Month‑over‑month reduction in unplanned equipment downtime.
- 90% of facility maintenance requests addressed within target timelines.
- 100% of maintenance data and equipment history updated in the QMS/maintenance system within 24 hours of work completion.
- Zero maintenance‑related safety incidents or lockout/tagout violations.
- Positive feedback from production teams on responsiveness and communication.
You are a practical, hands‑on technician who takes pride in safe, thorough work.
- Put safety first when working on energized equipment, at heights, or in tight spaces.
- Take ownership of your work orders and follow through until the job is properly completed and documented.
- Communicate clearly with production, supervisors, and contractors about status and timing.
- Stay organized, keeping tools, parts, and work areas clean and in order.
- Are willing to learn from licensed trades and more senior technicians, and to share knowledge with others.
- Stay calm and methodical when responding to breakdowns under time pressure.
- Technical diploma/certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in machine repair/maintenance in a manufacturing or mould‑making environment.
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills; basic electrical knowledge an asset.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programmes and basic safety compliance.
- Capable of operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other industrial equipment (certifications required or willingness to obtain).
- Basic computer skills for logging activities in maintenance/QMS systems.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean record.
- Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lb), stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.
