FORKLIFT OPERATOR / YARD LABOURER

Paradigm Building Solutions is hiring a Forklift Operator / Yard Labourer to support material handling, yard organization, inventory movement, and day-to-day factory operations at our Louis Creek facility. This is a hands-on role for someone who is safety-focused, organized, comfortable operating forklifts and telehandlers, and willing to pitch in wherever needed.
You will load and unload materials, move products between storage and production areas, support shipping and receiving, maintain an organized yard, and help keep equipment and work areas safe and ready for use.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Operate forklifts and telehandlers to safely load, unload, transport, and stage materials, finished products, and deliveries.
- Load trucks and trailers for outgoing shipments and unload incoming deliveries into designated storage areas.
- Move lumber, building materials, palletized products, and supplies between yard, storage, staging, and production areas.
- Verify quantities and item numbers, document incoming or returned materials, and report damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, material picking, and stock rotation.
- Organize and secure outdoor materials, pallets, dunnage, hardware, and equipment in designated areas.
- Maintain clean, safe yard and storage areas, including waste areas, walkways, staging zones, and seasonal snow clearing.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and immediately report equipment issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards.
- Follow company safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and PPE expectations at all times.
- Provide professional and safe service when assisting customers, vendors, and delivery drivers during loading and unloading.
- Support general yard upkeep and other labour duties as required to keep operations moving efficiently.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating forklifts; telehandler and outdoor yard experience are strong assets.
- Experience handling lumber, building materials, or palletized products safely and efficiently.
- Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Basic math skills for inventory handling, quantity checks, and product verification.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs and complete physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Wood framing or construction knowledge is an asset.
