Growth Engineer Intern
Internship

Parameter builds AI agents that do offensive security work. Our agents run autonomous penetration tests against production applications and cloud environments, finding IDORs, broken access control, XSS, and infrastructure misconfigurations that scanners miss and that human pentest firms only look for once or twice a year.
We are not a theoretical security company. Our team has responsibly disclosed real, high-severity vulnerabilities to well-known technology companies, and our findings are the front door to most of our customer relationships.
We're a seed-stage YC company, and this is our first dedicated growth hire. You'll sit between product, engineering, and distribution, and you'll own how technical buyers discover, try, and buy Parameter. One week you might ship an interactive security tool that brings in qualified leads. The next, you'll rebuild onboarding, automate a research workflow, or turn a customer conversation into a launch.
This is an engineering role with a growth target. You'll write code and copy, talk to users, instrument what you ship, and know whether it worked.
What You'll Do
- Own the growth funnel end to end, from first visit to booked call to paid engagement, and set the metrics we run the company on
- Build growth surfaces from start to finish: landing pages, free tools, product-led loops, onboarding experiments, and internal automation
- Run a tight experiment cadence. Form a specific hypothesis, ship it, measure it, and decide what happens next
- Build and maintain our instrumentation in PostHog and SQL so every channel and experiment can be measured
- Partner with the founders on launches, technical content, and outbound experiments, and help decide where growth effort goes each quarter
- Talk to prospects and customers, find the words they use for the problem, and put those words back into the product
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of full-time experience as an engineer, ideally in growth, product engineering, or at an early-stage startup
- A track record of shipping things people use, with numbers to show for it. Walk us through a funnel, launch, or experiment you owned and what it moved
- Production TypeScript and React. You sweat the details of a page, and you also care about the headline and the conversion rate
- Strong with analytics and SQL, and comfortable making decisions from a small, imperfect sample
- You move without a detailed spec and can turn a rough goal into a useful first version in days
- You write clearly and have enough taste to know when an idea, page, or message is not ready
- Bonus: experience with developer tools, cybersecurity, founder-led growth, or selling to a technical audience
Compensation And Benefits
- $140,000–170,000 base salary, based on experience
- 0.2–0.5% equity
- Health, dental, and vision coverage
- Relocation support to San Francisco
- A laptop and the software, data, and API credits you need to ship
- Team lunches and dinners in the office
Interview process
- Intro call + past project walkthrough (45 minutes)
- Paid work trial, scoped to roughly one day
- Team conversation, references, and offer
Stack
TypeScript
- React
- Next.js
- PostHog
- SQL
- Google Analytics
- Linear
You'll have a number to move, the codebase to move it with, and direct access to the people buying the product. We move quickly and aim to make an offer within two weeks of first contact.
This role is onsite in San Francisco. You must be authorized to work in the US; we are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
What Changed From The Internship Version
- Pay and benefits: the hourly rate, housing and travel are replaced with a salary, equity and full-time benefits. If you don't want to show equity publicly, cut that line. Confirm the benefits list before posting.
- Scope: the role now owns the funnel and helps set strategy, rather than mainly executing tasks.
- Requirements: "student or recent graduate" became "2+ years of full-time experience," and the bar is now growth you can show with numbers.
- Interview step: the "walk us through something you built" call now focuses on a growth project the candidate owned and measured.
Things To Check Before You Post
- Salary range: California law requires a pay range in job postings once a company has 15 or more employees. You're right around that size, so keep the range in.
- Visa line: I kept the no-sponsorship sentence from the internship post. If you're open to sponsoring for full-time hires, change it.
- Auto-reject rule: the Growth posting rejects anyone outside the US and anyone who says they won't relocate to SF. Make sure that still matches this role, especially if you add relocation support.
Apply
